Imagine 4 more years of this reckless, corrupt and power hungry bastard.

Maybe our country will survive, maybe it won’t.

I would have voted for Newt Gingrich.

This is about taking credit for every bit of gas that comes out of the ground...In other words....he’s behind it all...

Romney is a screwball and no more interested in energy independence than Obama...and, incidentally, has no chance against Obama. Which I’m sure the GOP elite has been aware of since the start.

But Obama is basically trying to take over the one thing that he didn’t control that actually has been profitable. He’s destroyed and suppressed the domestic oil industry, so why not do the same to the natural gas industry?

Romney will be worse ? That would be contrary to everything he's been saying vociferously on the campaign trail.

Ditto on a lot of our issues...he's sounding strong and good, to my ear. All this strong stuff is recent--after the Santorum/Gingerich "concessions" . I can't see how or why Romney would back track.

Yes, I worry about him somewhat--more than I would with Rick or Newt--but since he's now targeting Obie, I like what I'm hearing. And repeating, going forward many here expect him to move moderately to the middle, but I haven't heard it yet. As Rush has said, Romney will need to be dragged to the right, but I think he can be, and will be. The reality is he may be our nominee. See tagline.

And Ann Romney is a secret weapon not to be overlooked. Everytime Moosshhel opens her mouth sshhe'll be trumped by Ann, in sshhhpades.

I do not see a single item that is any indication whatsoever that she should have ANY input into the management and regulation of the U.S. natural gas industry.

No, she's perfect for the job, by Obama's standards.

She has no skills to actually DO this or any other job besides being someone else's flunky. She won't try to do it HER way, because she has no "way" of her own. She will gladly accept being Team Obama's sock puppet, that's what her whole career has prepared her for.

Czars need not be qualified, merely obedient.

Just repeating what I’ve read here on FR.

IF the natural gas producers give that piece of human waste money, they are not only like him, but spineless too.

Executive Orders pertain only to the operation of the Executive Branch, NOT to Industry or States!

What, you didn't get the tweet 3.5 years ago that there's only one branch of government? Hussein has taken over the US lock, stock and barrel. There is no Constitution or Bill of Rights. SCOTUS and Congress has been swept under the rug and are totally useless and powerless under his rule. His commie government and czars will take over all industry.

Obama appoints Soros-linked immigration advisor to lead natural gas council

http://www.instituteforenergyresearch.org/2012/04/13/obama-appoints-soros-linked-immigration-advisor-to-lead-natural-gas-council/

IER Senior Vice President for Policy, Daniel Kish, issued the following statement in response to the executive order:

“If the president is serious about robust development of our vast natural gas resources, it is bemusing to learn that he has appointed an immigration advisor and community organizer with deep ties to George Soros to lead the effort. Natural gas production on federal lands is dropping under this administration, a fact that the non-partisan Energy Information Administration attributes in part to the regulatory difficulties faced by industry when seeking to access these resources.

OMG what a cluster.

Again, they will hire and infiltrate all organizations.

How does Romney purge them out?

IMHO less than a 50% layoff in all dept staffs won't get it done...

Unless drilling is on Federal lands, this is 100% States rights and is now (and has always been) regulated by natural resources departments in each State. This IS a power grab.

Sounds like the "mandate" all over again, when you think of it. He is trying to make an imperial federal entity where he is the narcissist in chief. Theme music from Star Wars and visions of lord Vader run through my head.

But the fool doesn't get the real Darth Vader is Dick Cheney and he is tanned rested and ready with a new ticker...

The only purpose for this is to coordinate ways to use the power of the Federales to stop fracking and any new technology designed to deliver cheaper more efficient natural gas.

Notice the word ‘unconventional’, that can be construed as anything they want it to mean.

Invent a new type of drillbit, that’s declared ‘ unconventonal’, and must go thru years and years of government mandated testing and tons upon tons of paperwork regulations.

This is the objective: kill any new technology at all costs.....

RB...

You are correct. Their was a panel on CSPAN talking about technology and Gov't involvement. The analogy given was if the Food and Drug Admin took was allowed to run trials on video games and the same procedure of certifying the games safe like they do drugs. You get the point, it would destroy the industry. There mantra is if we cannot control the free-market verbally we will regulate it to death.

These people are Statist to the core, and are now hellbent on destroying what could be a paradigm changing series of technologies (i.e. fracking / natural gas ) which could refill our financial sails like the information revolution did in the 80's-2000's. Ideology over Liberty and Economic Freedom, what a mess...
