These “five service members” must be higher-ranking officers because normally, soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines visiting local hookers while on leave isn’t exactly the kind of thing anybody notices. As a matter of fact, it’s expected.

Therefore, something about this story stinks to high heaven.
Is the military being dragged into this to try to soften the blow (no pun) to the Secret Service’s reputation?
How is that supposed to work?

I could believe one guy but not this many. No way. Something smells.

Agreed.
We'll need to keep an eye on the Daily Mail and the rest of the British press to find out what's really going on here.

(Isn't that pathetic?)

It’s not exactly clear from the stories I’ve read (including this one), and my bracketed addition to the headline may have created more confusion, but it sounds as if the claim is that these service members were involved in procuring the hooker(s) for the SS agent(s).

What doesn’t make sense to me is why it would take such a wide-ranging operation to recommend some girls for a good time.

I’m not an RVer, so I don’t know what makes for the best parks, but the most popular places for recreating around here would be the Chippewa Flowage, in Sawyer County, with its legendary muskie fishing, or for scenery and a bigger body of water, the Apostle Islands on Lake Superior just to the north of there.

You can screen these people until there’s nothing you don’t know about them, but put them in a real world situation where they’re tempted and who knows what they’ll do?

Barry wasn’t down there yet. The SS were supposed to be securing the hotel area before his arrival.

Eleven Secret Service agents busted because they [one] refused to pay hooker:
Five American service members were also accused of misconduct stemming from the scandalous incident at the
hotel, according to the U.S. military.

Scandal was revealed Friday before President Obama arrived in Colombia for Summit of the Americas

Apparently, the SS was checking out the lay of the land prior to OBs visit. ................I apologize in advance of any complaint.

Sad that 16 men’s careers may be ruined because of their weakness. I think if we had a President who was admired and trusted, these men would have been more conscientious about their choices.
