An embarrassing scandal involving prostitutes and Secret Service agents widened Saturday when the U.S. military confirmed five service members staying at the same hotel in Colombia may have been involved in misconduct as well. The allegations overshadowed President Barack Obama's diplomacy in Latin America and threatened to bruise America's image.
The White House found itself having to insist that Obama still had full confidence in the agency designed to protect his life.

Someone wants to get rid of one or more of the members of the first advance team. The way to do that is to manufacture a scandal and then pull the individual’s (or individuals’) security clearance (clearances). No clearance, not job, problem solved.
This method has become very widespread in the executive branch under this administration.

I can’t imagine the internal conflicts the Secret Service and military officers assigned to Obama must be feeling. They all swear to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. They are obviously intelligent and motivated. When they see the President committing what their minds’ insist is treason to the Constitution, it has to have an affect.
I can very easily imagine a few start getting bent and frayed around the edges. Booze and hookers is about what I would expect.

Is it possible the advanced team took exception to Obama meeting someone in say the coffee business, perhaps the advanced team did their due diligence and found something troubling about someone who would meet Obama, perhaps that concern ruffled some feather?

This story brings to mind a bit of history involving another embarrassment to America’s finest fighting force.
Anyone remember Sgt. Clayton Lonetree, USMC?
He was a Marine Security Guard in, I believe, Leningrad or maybe Stalingrad about the mid 1970’s. He and a couple of other Marines got a little too close to a couple of nice Russian girls, one of whom had an Uncle Sascha who just happened to work for the KGB. The girls persuaded the lonely young Marines to let them in the Marine House and Lonetree eventually started providing classifed docs to Uncle Sascha’s niece who provided it to Uncle Sascha.
He’s probably out of Leavenworth by now.

Just did some quick research. It was 1985 and Moscow. I misspelled Sascha. It is Sasha. Lonetree was released 2/26/96. Hey, I was only off 1 decade. Sorry, I should have done my due diligence before I posted above. That said, I still am impressed that I was able to remember that much from so long ago.

If the five military guys are proven to have any association with hookers....they will be kicked out. That’s the “new” military that has evolved over the past decade.
