Two pro-life groups endorse Romney

GOP presidential front-runner Mitt Romney got back-to-back endorsements from prominent pro-life groups Thursday, signaling that anti-abortion forces will overlook his previous pro-choice positions in their shared desire to defeat President Obama in the general election.

The Susan B. Anthony List threw its support behind Mr. Romney in a morning news release and National Right-to-Life, the nation’s oldest and largest pro-life organization, followed suit with a news conference at the National Press Club in Washington.

“Now is the time to unite behind Gov. Romney in order to defeat the most ideologically pro-abortion president in our nation’s history,” said Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List. She added that her group plans to spend $10 million to $12 million in Senate and presidential battleground states “mobilizing pro-life voters to ensure victory.”

In making the announcement, Anthony List leaders said that Mr. Obama has proven to be an extremist on the abortion issue during his first term in office and highlighted how Mr. Romney has vowed to defund Planned Parenthood, appoint only constitutionalist judges to the federal bench and bar nongovernment organizations that perform or promote abortions from receiving federal funding.

“The difference between Gov. Romney and President Obama couldn’t be clearer,” said Jane Abraham, chairwoman of the group’s board of directors.

Unfortunately, he’s lying. Yesterday he lied to the NRA. Today he lied to the Susan B. Anthony List.

I suppose they usually take politicians at their word. But the record doesn’t confirm it.

“Now is the time to unite behind Gov. Romney in order to defeat the most ideologically pro-abortion president in our nation’s history,”

Sure. So throw in with the most ideologically pro-abortion Republican governor in our nation’s history. Idiots.

Romney will set the pro-life movement back a generation or more and here’s living proof.

Now, we see the destruction of morality no one will stand up to their principles.

There is another person in the race-2 in fact. Talk about lining up. Shameful.

What a sell out slogan which has got us to Romney.

Thank you.

Mutt just recently gave donations to pro-life groups for the first time in his life. There is a reason that the pro- life movement hasn’t been able to get Roe overturned.

ABO (anybody but Obama)

"Anybody" meaning any deceitful, statist, gun-grabbing liberal?

No thanks.

No, what got us to Romney is the same thing that got us to McCain in 2008.

And if enough people are on the same page as 2008, we'll get Obama again.

50 MILLION abortions since Roe v Wade.

Compares to 5.9 million Jews murdered in Hitler’s final Solution.

1.34 million Americans killed in all wars ever in the national history.

Mint will not stop the murder of our republic’s babies, a sinful shame on the sadistic criminal US Federal Government.

“Lotta soul selling going on these days.”

Yes there is. If one is going to choose a hill to die on, it should at least have more meaning than a dungheap like Willard Mitt Romney.

That should be the post of the year.

Well, we KNOW how Obama feels ... he even voted for late term abortion and a doctor’s duty to destroy a born live baby.

So I think these groups have made a wise choice.

Now is premature. There is no reason to endorse Mitt Romney when there is still a genuinely pro-life person in the race: Newt Gingrich. The only reason to support Romney RIGHT NOW as opposed to when he’s actually RUNNING against Obama.... is money. How much did he pay to buy your endorsement NOW, Right to Life and Susan B Anthony?

We need to contact these groups and let them know they endorsed at exactly the WRONG time, and won’t be receiving a dime from us in the future because of it. They will lose from us in money even more than they gained by Romney’s buy-off. And they will have lost our goodwill and their reputations as well.

It’s time for us to solidify behind Newt Gingrich.

To force a woman to have an abortion against her will is unconscionable. To force a person to PERFORM an abortion against their will is just as unconscionable. And that is EXACTLY what Mitt Romney has done in Massachusetts. There is no way any pro-life person or group should be supporting this guy when there is still an actual pro-life, pro-liberty candidate in the race.

What these 2 groups have done is unconscionable at this point, and we need to let them feel the heat for it. With friends like that we don’t need enemies. If the “right to life” groups are going to sell us out for bribe money, we can fight this battle on our own, thank you.

National Right to Life has gotten its last dime from me. Supporting a pro-homosexual, pro-abortion chameleon like that. Not one thin dime ever again. Ever.

If you want anybody but Obama then you better get your butt in gear and get behind Newt Gingrich.

Anywhere between 60-75% of Americans are opposed to Obamacare and yet the R’s think the only electable candidate is the person wrote the instruction manual for Obama on how to force people to perform abortions even though they believe it is murder.

On what other issue do we stand a chance of getting that kind of bi-partisan support? 60-75%. And the GOP-e is willing to throw that away. It’s suicide.

Get behind Newt, or kiss this country good-bye.

These groups have jumped the gun. They have endorsed a guy who is forcing people to perform abortions even though they believe it to be murder, when there is another person they could support who values both life and the US Constitution too much to ever agree to EITHER that, or what Obama supports.

If they want to endorse Romney over Obama they should wait until that is the race we’re in. Right now we’re in a race between Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, and Ron Paul. And they endorsed the one who not only believes in but has actually implemented coerced abortions - by coercing people to PERFORM them against their own beliefs that it is murder.

This is ABSOLUTELY THE WRONG CHOICE. NRLC and Susan B Anthony now stand for coerced abortions.
