Morning AB, All….

As always, thank you AB for doing this thread.

Choir this morning, 8:30 am mass.

Been a most interesting week. One...I resigned from the Republican party.

Oh no, I didn’t go down and re-register as an Independent. For one thing, primaries are coming up and there are some locals I want to vote for. I do intend to change my party affiliation at some unnamed future date because, folks, I am not a Republican, the party is not for me, and further, they simply do not want the likes of me.

I am still the campaign treasurer of a local guy and like I say, will vote in the primary and will, in the future, re-register as a Republican should a candidate need my support. I know how to do this as required.

The Delaware Republican party is sending Mike Castle to the Republican National Convention to represent, allegedly, the likes of ME.

I don’t think so.

A bunch of us are mad about it and this week was a firestorm with me getting lectured to by everybody from the Sussex county GOP chair to a bunch of others. I’m hiding, I’m hiding.

I don’t want those people and don’t want to be associated with them. I intend to vote for Mitt Romney because I believe I’d vote for Satan over Obama.

Not for a second do I expect for Mittens to govern as the likes of me would expect.

Here’s what I think is going to happen. I’m no great prognosticator but I’m right about as often as Dick Morris, so yon reader has a guide.

I believe that the likes of me, which would be Republican-defined as a pitchfork-carrying, dimbulb what doesn’t know how difficult legislating is and should keep quiet and let the betters take care of things….the sorts like me will be happy for a while that Obamer is out of there.

It will be gradual but I give it a year maybe. Than Mittens will begin reaching across the aisle. We begin with Obamacare, which not for a fleeting second do I think Mittster will eliminate. I suspect he’ll take out the must-buy mandate and, by working with the other side, will adjust some of the nastier things in Obamacare. It ain’t rocket science. Romney came up with Romney care and in some form or fashion there will be an overhaul of health insurance in this company. I think there will be available a government run health insurance company that will be available to anyone who can’t obtain same through an employer. Buying it won’t be mandatory. The RINO plan will be to keep that out of the way until some future date when America does the dumb and again elects a Democrat.

There will be much reaching across the aisle and after a couple of years of this reaching, will continue to liberalize and effectively change the the culture of this nature, fundamentally, as Obamer planned, but it will be much slower.

There will be a rise of a third party.

I believe this. It will be, but of course, The Tea Party.

I don’t see the dim bulb likes of me taking any more of this RINO stuff, it simply cannot last. Too many of us have had enough.

When that happens, which it will, I truly believe, I will be ready.

Not to worry, the Republican party is happy to be rid of me and I wish them luck with their moderate way, reachy across the aisle method of ruining this country, albeit much slower than the Democrats.

I want to be part of the new party which will wrest this country away from this political class that has, unfortunately, gained such a foothold on this country.

Good for you Fish. My situation backfired on the Party heads and tomorrow they are going to have an interesting follow-up meeting. When me and my partner walked out of the two reps of the Committee my partner said, “You spent two hours on that?”

It was a joke that was nothing more than throwing mud at the wall and hoping it would stick. The irony is, the two Reps said this made me stronger by drawing attention to what we are doing.

Hang tough, you are doing the right thing by bailing and let it die a natural death in the swamps. Thanks for the prayers.

Pray for America

I think the Romney campaign is the Rubicon for the RINOs.

They have spent decades saying they are the only ones who can win and they never win. Their Big Lie has to end in November or the Republican party will end.

The only third way is the way you are going, Fishtalk—the Tea Party.

When Romney loses, the Tea Party MUST incorporate as a for-real political party and by 2014 it MUST have its candidate picked and already running for 2016.

I’m sorry to hear you say this, not because I don’t think it’s true, but because it is!

Have we no recourse? I very much want to see real conservatives take over and remove the RINOs, not the other way round.

Here in Alabama, the Republican party IS the conservative party and vice versa. In fact, as a catholic, they’re even a little too religious for me! That’s due to the fact that most are Southern Baptist, which often misrepresent our faith. Still, an excellent teaching opportunity for a catholic apologist. But back on topic, it’s hard for me to comprehend dealing directly with a bunch of liberals calling themselves Republicans.

I still desire to see the frevor of the TEA partiers back in the limelight and the TEA party consuming the RINOs, not the other way around. Why did so many leave politics after 2010?

I wish you hadn’t done that, Fish, but your choice.

I always think fighting from within is better unless there is actually a viable alternative organization yu can join.

"I don’t want those people and don’t want to be associated with them. I intend to vote for Mitt Romney because I believe I’d vote for Satan over Obama."

Unfortunately, in the unlikely event Romney should get the presidency, he will become the head of the Republican party and will therefore put those individuals of like minds in key positions. Just going by his past history pertaining to his conduct in and out of office, it will take decades, if ever, for the conservative movement to gain the foothold and the power that it now has again. Among vast number of conservative Republicans (I use that term advisedly) there will be such a "wailing and gnashing of teeth" lamenting how could this have happened to us and this great country of ours? My retort will be...... look in the mirror! The "Republican Establishment" is playing a successful game of rope-a-dope.

As for myself, I'll no longer vote for the lesser of two evils because evil is still evil no matter how much lipstick you put on it. My word, I've gone down the voting list from Sarah Palin to Newt and I'm going no further. I'll not vote for someone who should actually be running on the Democrat ticket as a moderate Democrat. That's how we got into this mess! Let'r rip!

Last but not least, a big THANK YOU to you AB for the ping and this thread in which I'm always lurking in the background because it stimulates my thinking and blood pressure. :O)

It’ll also change when the Republican party when Ron Paul legalize dope/no war go home to the Democrat party. Also when some didn’t want late members to our caucus vote, I had that done with it all feeling, but I am staying to take over the Republican Party as a grass roots TEA Party movement, though I sometimes find myself to the right of them, I have time and God willing, can outwit any moderate/liberal thinkers.
