Geithner: Romney's statements on women "misleading and ridiculous" (But Romney was 100% accurate)

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner pushed back on Mitt Romney's statements that women made up almost all jobs lost during the Obama presidency.

"It's misleading and ridiculous," Geithner said on CBS News' "Face the Nation." "It's just a political moment."

On the campaign trail, Romney attempted to turn the discussion to women and the economy, blaming President Obama for hurting women's checkbooks.

At campaign events, Romney repeatedly said the president's policies are waging "the real war on women," pointing to a statistic that women make up 92.3 percent of jobs lost since Mr. Obama took office.

In response to questions by host Bob Schieffer, Geithner said "you have to look at the whole duration of the recession.

"The recession started in 2008... It was already a year in the making before President Obama came into office," Geithner said, noting that men lost the most jobs at the beginning of the recession, due to construction and manufacturing job loss.

One of the biggest problems with Democrats is that they believe their own lies.

If Romney tells the truth it’s only in service to a larger lie.

In a couple months from now all Romney has to campaign on is 10 easy words, “Are you better off than you were 3 years ago”?

Well: Toby you are probably right, that may get him elected, and you are right again, that is all he will have.

Ohhh: He will make a lot of Conservative promises. Do not be fooled. The only thing we gain with Romney is a rest for the crew of Air Force one and millions in travel expenses for Obama’s whole family.
We may get some half way decent Cabinet appointments and a foreign policy that doesn’t involve bowing.

What I would like is Cancellation of Obama care and all its tentacles.
A military build-up
Drilling
Leave coal powered energy alone
Let the greens energy develop on their own.
permanency for the Bush tax cuts.
a more business friendly atmosphere
90% of the State Department fired
Energy Department —gone
Department of Education, cut by 2/3rds.
Agriculture Department, cut by half.
Borders secured
Muslims deported
Open carry the law of the land.
Fuel prices at $2.50
A rate of interest that would encourage savings.
The homosexual agenda brought to a screeching halt.
Freedom of religion and a conscience clause.

A year AFTER the Democrat majority Congress replaced the GOP majority Congress. Of course, now lefties are accusing the Republicans of wrecking the "recovery" to get Obama out of office.

women make up 92.3 percent of jobs lost since Mr. Obama took office.

Part of that is because many men were phased over the years to make the jobs available to the women. So when the cuts became necessary it was women holding the jobs.

ie: Compare the employment by gender in the "education system" 25 years ago with today.
