The right to bear arms and property rights are the most sacred - and by that - I mean that if arms and property are taken from us, we have no other rights by definition. Thus, they are the foundation of all other rights and therefore sacred.
Power is a check to power, as Montesquieu observed. Deadly force is power, and no government ever created by man deserves a monopoly on it.
