I can’t begrudge him too much over this. He’s supposedly teaching his kids about where they came from and perhaps wants to brag about that for modest political reasons. Yes, it’s a double standard, but otherwise I think he tries to be a good parent to his children. He didn’t grow up with a father, so I think he tries to compensate for that with his kids, and it makes sense to want to control their media exposure.
Your points are all good. I just wish he’d quit inserting them into every 10 cent speech he makes, and then call everyone else out for talking about them.
