It's a tough one to swallow, I'll grant them that, but I don't like pretending that things aren't bad when they're bad. Even when they're really really bad. These last three years have sure illustrated how pervasive it is though. Anything goes. Arming drug cartels, taking over companies and stealing from bond holders, openly inciting racial division, committing troops to war with no Congressional involvement, no funding and spitting on the idea that either are necessary. Mocking SCOTUS' Constitutional role.

It is so much more in your face than Slick Willie's lawlessness and the absence of opposition is more profound. The press is lying much more brazenly too. We must be near the point where the mask comes off completely and the iron glove is donned.

It's close, but people are drooling in their laps, fed bread and circuses, and don't even realize it.

Some will go along willingly, some grudgingly, but I'd bet most will go along in hopes they will be able to keep whatever they have. They generally won't, but by then, they will have sold their souls for a crust.
