I am NO fan of Romney. Most any other candidate, except for Paul would have been preferable. But I will hold my nose and vote for Mitt, because I desperately fear what four more years of Obama, even with GOP control of the House and Senate, and with more conservative caucuses, will do do this Country. One fact is enough...The next president will appoint from 1-3 Supreme Court Justices.
And yes, I understand that Newt is still in the race, and it's not officially over..so don't clobber me with that one.
But let me ask you one question, if I may.
Assume, hypothetically, that in 2000, Jim Robinson and many others here had been equally as opposed to George Bush. There are 2000+ Freepers in the state of Florida.
If just 25% of them had decided NOT to vote for W, then Gore would have been elected president. Think about it. Can you imagine 9/11 with Gore in the WH? Can you imagine what SCOTUS would look like today, without Roberts or Alito?
Nope, gotta hold my nose and vote for Mittens. And work hard to elect conservative candidates to Congress this fall..and trust that a GOP controlled House and Senate will corral Mitt, if, IF, he strays off the resrrvation. Nope
