Do you need any more evidence of the utter freaking bias of the south Florida media?

Patriotic Cuban Americans take umbrage at the idea of their home team's manager saying he LOVES a murderous dictator...

But look at the SAME south Florida media cover the case of George Zimmerman's self-defense. They use child-like photos of George's attacker, they lionize the self-appointed defender of the attacker Al Sharpton, and they ROUTINELY ignore the FACTS of the case that show Zim was acting in self defense.

But the media is VERY eager to "move on" from Ozzie Guillen's words.

Ask yourself: What if Ozzie had said, "You know, I love George Zimmerman. All these people, like the Black Panthers and Jesse Jackson trying to demonize him, but he is still innocent until proven guilty.".

I will tell you what would happen....the wrath of the liberal media would descend on Guillen, the "civil rights" industry would demand his firing, and there would be all sorts of attention paid to the angry crowds.

But let him say he loves a dictator who has crushed freedom and murdered people....and the media gets irritated with those who are upset.

Yes, the attitude of the media is disgusting. The writer starts by saying that the crowd at the game is a sign that Miami is “maturing” — that it doesn’t care that its team’s manager praised Castro. After all, why should a mature person care if Castro oppressed his own people for half a century, had an influence on similar movements elsewhere, and brought this country to the brink of nuclear war?

At the end of the article, the writer concludes with, “Back to baseball, please, OK? To the escape from real life — not the reminder of it.” It was Guillen’s pro-Castro comment that reminded people of real life, and made enjoyment of the escape of baseball more difficult. From now on, every time I look at him, I’m going to think of that.
