Reuters reports that Mitt Romney's campaign was calling for civility on Tuesday after Ted Nugent's comments before an audience of U.S. gun lobbyists. The Democratic National Committee seized on Nugent's remarks on Monday night in a fundraising email, pointing out how Nugent has endorsed Romney for president.

Where is the condemnation from Obama for all the vile hateful things his supporters utter? Has he given back the million from Mahr? Ted Nugent is on the edge. I FORGIVE him for some hyperbole.

Even though I might retain as much as a ten to fifteen percent hearing loss from having attended one of Nugent's concerts 33 years ago (indeed, I was partially deaf for three to four days afterward), my outrage rises to his level. "No brag, just fact," if you know what I mean. As night follows day.

We all have a vested interest in civilization but the words of that politically-incorrect author of our Declaration of Independence rings in my ears, also.

Of course Romney's calling for civility, he wouldn't stand up for his own dog if someone strapped it to the roof of a car. Also, he wouldn't want to be seen as too big a supporter of the 2nd amendment.
