Current TV’s Cenk Uygur to Bill O’Reilly: ‘You’re a godd**n Nazi’ [VIDEO]

Keith Olbermann’s “Worst Person in the World” segment might be gone from Al Gore’s Current TV, but the name-calling isn’t.

On Current TV’s “The Young Turks” on Tuesday, host Cenk Uygur attacked Fox News host Bill O’Reilly for claiming the mission of “the far left” is to silence some. Uygur tied the crusade against the left’s latest boogeyman, the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), to an O’Reilly complaint about the tactics used by left-wing groups to “silence” opponents.

“Alright, before I go to my panel, let me just level Bill O’Reilly,” Uygur said. “First of all it is your right-wingers that try to hurt people and their families by killing them, by bombing abortion clinics, etc. You are the one with the right-wing extremist terrorists on your side. So don’t talk to me about how Color of Change, who actually wants to help minorities in the country, wants to hurt you and your family. That’s made up.”

Uygur then went on to label O’Reilly with the “Nazi” moniker, which is considered to be taboo, at least when the right uses it.

“Before we went to the break, I showed you another part from that clip where he talked about Color Of Change and these groups are fascists,” Uygur said. “Alright Bill — you want to play name-calling games? No problem. You are a goddamn Nazi. That’s what you are, OK? You’re going to call us fascists all day long, and we’re not going to respond? Well, those days are over, Nazi. And freedom of speech, what are you talking about?”

The term Nazi was a slang term used to describe members of the National Sozialistische Deutsch Arbeiter-Partei, which translated into English, means National Socialist German Worker's Party. There is no logically consistent way to call the nazis right wing. Go to wikipedia and look this up, it's rather amusing. Go to the definition of right wing and they reference the nationalism of Nazis as what makes them "right wing". Go to nationalism and it references the Nazis in a perfect circular argument of "The nazis were right wing because they were nationalists and nationalism is right wing because nazis were nationalist". The differences between Communism and Nazi-ism and Fascism are minimal and in practice negligible regardless if their brand of socialism "national" or "international" in scope.

Now to be fair to this Cenk character, whom I've never had the bad fortune to have to listen to, O'Reilly is a populist blowhard, who's idiotic act is geared towards getting ratings and nothing else. I suspect Cenk's monologue was based on gaining some ratings in much the same way.

A pox on both of their houses.

The Nazi were socialists like the liberals, so liberals are the Nazi.

This is going to be the darkest, most viscious, most corrupt election in U.S. History. And it’s just begiining.

By the time this is over, the MSNBC Klux Klan will be killing people at the polling places.

But it will be OK with the mainstream media, because NOTHING is wrong now, if done while Democrat.

“There is no logically consistent way to call the nazis right wing.”

The National Socialists were to the “right” of the Communists, but not by much.

The classification of Nazi’s as “Right” comes primarily from Shirer’s flawed “Rise and Fall of The Third Reich”.

Shirer was himself a radical Socialist, associated with the Communist and radical Socialist movements in America and Europe in the 30’s, and an admirer of the Soviet Union, who ignored or obscured every connection between National Socialism and Communism in his books.
