Ann Coulter: NEGROES WITH GUNS (In spite of Dem's efforts to disarm them)

NEGROES WITH GUNS

April 18, 2012
Liberals have leapt on the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Florida to push for the repeal of "stand your ground" laws and to demand tighter gun control. (MSNBC'S Karen Finney blamed "the same people who stymied gun regulation at every point.")

This would be like demanding more funding for the General Services Administration after seeing how its employees blew taxpayer money on a party weekend in Las Vegas.

We don't know the facts yet, but let's assume the conclusion MSNBC is leaping to is accurate: George Zimmerman stalked a small black child and murdered him in cold blood, just because he was black.

If that were true, every black person in America should get a gun and join the National Rifle Association, America's oldest and most august civil rights organization.

Apparently this has occurred to no one because our excellent public education system ensures that no American under the age of 60 has the slightest notion of this country's history.

Gun control laws were originally promulgated by Democrats to keep guns out of the hands of blacks. This allowed the Democratic policy of slavery to proceed with fewer bumps and, after the Civil War, allowed the Democratic Ku Klux Klan to menace and murder black Americans with little resistance.

(Contrary to what illiterates believe, the KKK was an outgrowth of the Democratic Party, with overlapping membership rolls. The Klan was to the Democrats what the American Civil Liberties Union is today: Not every Democrat is an ACLU'er, but every ACLU'er is a Democrat. Same with the Klan.)

In 1640, the very first gun control law ever enacted on these shores was passed in Virginia. It provided that blacks -- even freemen -- could not own guns.

Chief Justice Roger Taney's infamous opinion in Dred Scott v. Sandford circularly argued that blacks could not be citizens because if they were citizens, they would have the right to own guns: "[I]t would give them the full liberty," he said, "to keep and carry arms wherever they went." Ann writes all this yet she supports a liberal who is for gun control for POTUS.

Yea isn't that strange? Romney will severely cut back on Second amendment rights.

You are Ann’s one true remaining friend of FR. You are indeed loyal. I never was more than just a passing fan, not really paying much attention to her.

She does really need to stop supporting Romney. It is ruining her future, IMO.

I certainly wouldn't want you for a friend.

You'd throw me over in a minute if you disagreed with one of my positions.

Oh and that statement (one true remaining friend/FR) is a blatant lie. There are many here that don't throw out the baby with the bath water.

I wouldn't worry about her future, being just a passing fan who did not pay much attention to her.

You probably didn't read this article because it is just a bunch of talk about how good a candidate that Romney is huh?

“You probably didn’t read this article because it is just a bunch of talk about how good a candidate that Romney is huh?”

Hey guy, chill. I didn’t read the article in debt because I don’t consider Ann Coulter to be conservative anymore and don’t consider her worth reading even if she may be right on a particular topic. Also, I was truly complementing your loyalty, not insulting you. I have lines that cannot be crossed without me abandoning a pundit or politician. You are more tolerant than I. That isn’t an insult, just a statement of fact.

However, based upon what folks write, Ann is no longer very popular on this forum. She backed the wrong person. And it wasn’t just any “wrong” person, it was about as bad as you can get short of supporting Mr. Obama. Plus, her acceptance of “homosexual” Republicans has disgusted many as well.

Ann has sold her soul to the GOPe. It will be curious to see what will happen when she attempts to sell another book. That will be the judge as to whether she has alienated the GOP base.

"I didn’t read the article in debt (Freudian sic) because I don’t consider Ann Coulter to be conservative anymore..."

You don't read the article because Coulter isn't "conservative" and more.

Well, you are in "debt" to me now, because I will tell you that this column and the one last week were from the very heights of Conservatism.

There are a few posters that condemn one's words from a purely emotional level. (It's Coulter, I'm going to close my eyes and post on the thread,)I have no problem with that, but don't expect those of us who use reason instead not dare to dispute the allegations.

What I did here was to post Coulter's very good column for those that wish to continue being taught new things.

It always bring out the whiners.

No more offers of sandwiches though, people know Christie will grab them from our of her hands.

“Well, you are in “debt” to me now, because I will tell you that this column and the one last week were from the very heights of Conservatism.”

Syncro you are a great guy, and I never mean to insult you. You think you can learn from Ann....I think she could learn more from you or most posters here on FR. She doesn’t say anything I don’t already know....honestly.

My view on Ann is this. The old saying is that “Pretty is as pretty does.” The same can be applied to conservatism. She talks a good game and can write a witty column, but her support of Romney shows she is either not conservative or actually very stupid in discerning people. I find it hard to believe she is stupid, so I have to assume she really isn’t conservative. Her support of Romney and other blatant screw ups shows me that.

We have an honest disagreement on this topic. I just don’t think she is worth quoting, even when she gets a topic right. Then it gives her creedence when she screws up royally and supports Romney.

Be cool dude!

I am totally in awe of you and your wisdom and knowledge.

That nothing Coulter ever expounds upon that you don' t already know.

That's astounding, congratulations on being so well read!

I had never heard of the book “Negroes With Guns” but you have and have read it.

“I just don’t think she is worth quoting, even when she gets a topic right.”

Yea, let's not acknowledge wisdom and knowledge if it comes from Coulter.

That's the old Ostrich syndrome, head-in-sand style of learning.

No problem, and I wasn't insulted in the least by you.

Thanks for your very entertaining post, and strive for civility!

“Thanks for your very entertaining post, and strive for civility!”

Several months ago I was wrongly uncivil to you, and chose never to do so again.

I’m going to ignore your sarcasm, because you fail to miss my point. You or we do not need Ann Coulter. What little good information she may provide is tainted with her desire to be one of Romney’s wives (that is sarcasm). She doesn’t really understand conservatism in the same way I do, or even the way you do. IF she did, she would not support Romney. She has been coopted by the GOPe.

I'm sure you were uncivil to me in the past, but my message to you was your extremely uncivil attitude towards Coulter.

Need or not need is not the point.

Coulter provides great insight into important matters, in spite of her support of Romney.

Many civil conservatives appreciate that. Here at FR and elsewhere.

Those that get emotionally upset at her existence in the world of political pundation should just not click on threads with her expoundations.

Take that chill pill you offered me...

: > )

“Coulter provides great insight into important matters, in spite of her support of Romney.”

My esteemed Syncro....there are plenty of insightful persons out there that can take Ann's place that don't support Romney or give aid and comfort to homosexuals. We just don't need her. She has become passe.

Your loyalty to her speaks well of your iremic character. However, many (to most) of us just aren't willing to give her a pass anymore.

So, post her if you chose, but expect a continued reminder that she is no longer relevant and actually superfluous.

When I told you to be “cool.” I meant it in the sense that I was saying to be the “cool guy” you are. I didn't mean, in that instance, to tell you to calm down.

In regards to myself, I no longer have intense disgust for Ann, I just rationally and calmly think she is no longer relevant and should be replaced by someone my consistently conservative. Of course, that is just my opinion. :-)

Please try to keep up, and can the platitudes and patronizations.

No one is stepping up to take Coulter’s place, so it's up to you.

When you fulfill that function adequately, I will stop posting her columns.

It's foolish to call for her replacement, if there was one her popularity would wane.

As it is, her next book will be a best seller, and she will continue to be a unique voice in her chosen field.

She is still all over the airwaves, and busy with appearances.

BTW, converse to your erroneous statement, she made homosexuals so uncomfortable one large homo org stopped supporting homosexual marriage solely because of her advice.

Oh and I think your character is more anemic, mine isn't but thanks for trying.

Giving her a pass is a moot point.

You and your myopic circle of Coulter haters do, that’s about it.

To that close knit small circle yes, she is no longer relevant and actually superfluous.

(Superfluous is actually a compliment)

Your “be cool” was to show how cool you are, no offense taken.

Telling me to chill though was another matter.

I got a chuckle out of your statement “I just rationally and calmly think she is no longer relevant and should be replaced by someone my consistently conservative.”

Coulter makes sense, you don't....

Because you think she is not relevant, you ignore her relevant expoundations.

Again, keep closing your eyes and posting.

I'll comment back when I am bored and wish to entertain myself reading your misdirected thought patterns.

Smily face back atcha and solang Sola

“Oh and I think your character is more anemic, mine isn’t but thanks for trying.”

The word I used was “irenic” not anemic. Definition: favoring, conducive to, or operating toward peace, moderation, or conciliation.

Once again I was speaking well of you. Get the chip off your shoulder. I am in no way insulting you. My beef is with Ann Coulter not you.

I stand by my comments/opinion that most of the regulars on FR are more intelligent and insightful than Ann Coulter. Plus, they haven’t been coopted by the GOPe.

So, if you chose to continue to insult me or be sarcastic, I won’t return it in kind. You hurt no one but yourself and you don’t make Ann conservative when she isn’t.

You are just too easy.

I knew what your obscure scrabble/crossword word intended to mean, just wondered if you would bite on my statement.

LOL, I'm not insulted nor do I have a chip on my shoulder, I just have a finely tuned sense of humor and sardonisizm...

Plus the only heavy metal music I like is Irony.

Yes I know your main beef is with a 98lb woman which kicks in the CE syndrome ingrained in your being.

Your insulting tone is a bit disguised towards me, but yes, it's quite prominate towards Coulter. (If you can't debate someone, insult them huh?) Your comments/opinions never quite said what you claim now, but that was your meaning I see.

Glad you like the quality of posters we have here at Free Republic. That's commendable.

But it's always a bit demeaning to a poster when they use derogatory remarks towards others to make themselves look better.

Oh my, I insulted you? Heh, I think your comments do that just fine...

The return in kind comment is ironic, being as what you reference is your SOP when a tornado of words from people like Coulter (and me too apparently) hits the cognitive areas of your mind.

Well, you caught me good, my effort to make every statement out of Coulter’s keyboard conservative.

Dang, can't put anything past you.

It's been entertaining throwing words back and forth with you, but I'm just as glad you have ended your participation.

Enjoy the great weather and thanks for all the bumps to this excellent bit of writing, as liberal and leftist that it just has to be as it leaked out of Coulter's pen.
