Even if Lugar was a died in the wool conservative, his time has come to leave the scene. It's pathetic when some politicians hang on to their offices way past the due date.
It's like a great athlete hanging on until his mid 40’s and no one wants to tell him it's time to go.

Sad to say....He wasn't an "even if".....

Dick Lugar is just another Hatch, Collins, Snow, et al....has been, do nothing, go along to get along......cancer on our country.

He's 80.

He drools occasionally AND does not follow his opponent's train of thought well in discussions.

But none of that matters in the Senate ~ their staff people take care of the heavy lifting.

I'd like to know who Mourdock is going to hire ~
