That's more of a condemnation of modern morality (or, as some might say, a lack thereof) than it is as a justification.
As a general rule, I try to avoid using one bad behavior to justify another one. It gets one called out on it almost as fast as making a hypocritical pronouncement.
The only difference is that with hypocritical condemnation, it doesn't negate the truth of the statement; only the person making the case.
As I recall, Jesus didn't condemn what the Pharisees were saying so much as the fact that they were even more guilty of what they were preaching against.
One is a prostitute the other a whore. The prostitute puts “value” on her body/goods by charging. The whore offers her body/goods “without charge”.
Thus the Prostitute is above the whore. At least she places value on her body/goods.
