200-300 beer cans means it was way early or only about 20-30 people if I’m calculating right based on cockfights I know about.
Cockfights generally aren’t run by the cartels although lots of drug dealers go to them. They are popular all the way up to San Antonio (Bexar County), about 200 miles from the border.
I know of one very popular cockfighting arena that ran for years on the outskirts of San Antonio out in the county. It was run by a Sheriff’s deputy or Constable, but it finally got busted when a new Sheriff was elected.
A man takes his seat on a plane to Chicago and realizes the woman next to him is hot.

It always has been a brutal culture. The Aztecs cut the beating hearts from tens of thousands of live victims. Nowadays the drug lords just cut off heads.
