People can make mistakes, regret them, and make corrections.

No, what Peggy did in 2008 was reprehensible and she got called for it, both here and elsewhere in the Conservative blogosphere. Since then she has developed a severe case of buyer’s remorse and is trying to tack right again, but we have all of her 2008-2009 Obama loving columns and TV appearances on file and won’t let her forget the damage she helped inflict.

I think that is true, though I am not sure I buy it in this case.

I may have missed it, but I don’t think she has said “I was wrong, and my advocacy of Obama and my denunciations of Palin contributed to the problem we are now faced with in the White House”

From what I can see, she talks about it as if she had not part in it.

I have had this happen to me, so I know how I feel. When someone comes to me and says “I was wrong. I made a mistake, this is what it was, and I regret it” I can fully put it behind me and make a new start.

She apparently regrets the outcome, but doesn’t yet own her part in enabling it in the first place, as far as I can see. I could be wrong.
