If I have to vote for Romney it will be for the preservation of our Republic long enough to get someone in there who can make a real difference. I honestly am concerned that with Obama we will not have that opportunity.

If Romney somehow gets the nomination, with all of his baggage and wacky religious views, he's not going to bow out in 2016 for your mythical person "who can make a real difference" and furthermore, if Romney somehow won re-election, something he's proven that he's not good at, in 2020 he's going to make damn sure to support somebody just as liberal as he is, that's assuming he doesn't turn it over to a Democrat. We need somebody who is going to put the brakes on socialism, not somebody like Romney who is going to take us down that road even further.

Since 1988, we've had George H. W. Bush, Bob Dole, George W. Bush, and John McCain - a 20 year string of liberals who have either lost to Democrats, increased the cost and size of government and then lost to a Democrat, or increased the size, power, cost, and intrusiveness of government and then helped turn it over to Obama.

Willard Romney would not only be continuing that streak, but he would be much more liberal than the two Bushes, McCain, and Dole, and he would be working to ensure that people just as liberal as him permeate the federal government and the leadership of the GOP.

The GOP establishment has hurt this country when it comes to Republican Presidential candidates since 1988.

A vote for a liberal with an (R) next to their name is still a vote for a liberal, and I'm done bending over and spreading for the GOP in the hopes that things will improve in the next election. I've been hearing that crap for decades now, and here we are and Romney is more liberal than any other candidate in the last 24 years.

The GOP establihsment doesn't give a damn about you or me, and they are going to work against our interests. The sooner you wake up and realize that, the better. Picking the lesser evil is still picking evil.

I have no love lost for Romney or his record...sorry we disagree...but we do. If he gets the nomination I will vote for him over the Marxist Obama, and vote and put my efforts into electing people down tocket who can hold Romney’s feet to the fire (and if we elect the right people they most certainly will...if we elect the wrong ones, well, they will not stop Obama either).

I’m fully awake as to what has happened since I first cast a vote in 1974, and what continues to happen...but we are in this sorry state and each of us has to decide how best to approach and attack it.

I pray God’s blessings on us, along with our hard work, because we surely need it now as surely as at any tme in this nation’s history clear back to the revolution and before.
