Wow...learn some basic political history...or at least look it up before you spout off. CA pretty consistently voted Republican prior to 1992. The state as a whole is largely conservative ( by geography...not population) with the exception of the large metropolitan areas of SF and LA.

Comparing Reagan and to unprincipled SoS like Romney is laughable at best.

Not sure where you get your history from...both California state houses were controlled by the democrats for both of Reagan’s terms. But yes, California tended to vote Republican for President...but not much else...

During his tenure as Governor he called for some tax increases and backed off on some budget cuts...something that would probably make it impossible for people like you to vote for him today.
