Despite running on fumes, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich's presidential campaign continues rolling out the endorsements — in Delaware.
The Gingrich camp announced in an email blast Friday that Terry Spence, former Speaker of the Delaware House, is supporting the Georgia Republican's presidential bid.
"Under Newt's leadership with the Contract With America, he led a team that balanced the budget, paid off the national debt, and reformed our welfare system," Mr. Spence said in the release. "We desperately need Newt's knowledge, experience, and bold leadership skills to get America back on the right track. While other candidates have ignored Delaware, Newt has been campaigning here aggressively and I encourage my fellow Delawareans to vote for Newt Gingrich next Tuesday."
On Thursday, the touted the endorsement of Geoff Klopp, president of the Correctional Officers Association of Delaware.

Please, Lord, let DE lead the rebellion that frees us from Romney and gets us a candidate who could actually win against Obama.

It’s a long, loooong uphill battle against the media and the Washington establishment ........ but I for one am willing to fight it.
People need to support Newt or we are going to get liberal democrat Romney. The country is going down this time fast; I do believe with these 2 guys ( Obama and Romney) I hope Romney gets what is coming to him -for he has lied and bought this primary so he is not like Obama-can Do anything-say anything and gets a pass. He is no better than Obama. He is for many of the same things that Obama stood for.
1. The Adelson family donated another $5 million to the Newt PAC on March 21st.
2. In spite of what the lamestream media reports, Newt’s PAC has $6 million in reserve.
I don’t think Newt is done by any stretch of the imagination. The Florida GOP convention is going to be very interesting.
Not if Romney keeps spreading the “news” that Newt is quitting.
We have to keep this going. People will vote for him if they think he’s running, but many people in the remaining states don’t even know that...and the press sure isn’t going to tell them.
I bet Newt didn’t have to buy his endorsement’s like Romney did either.

Remember how hopeful it all was last Fall? How different this campaign would`ve been had that toxic a**hole Romney not waded in and poisoned the waters. Even the nutcase Ron Paul had something resembling a vision for the future..
Romney has no core values, no plan, no vision, no grand ideas and no base of support.. just a huge pot of money to flay those who dared try to make America a better place. At one time there was a very real chance Obama could`ve been defeated. Not so, now.

Romney didn’t wade in. He has been running for President for ten years, with seven months off in 2008. Strong conservative candidates >failed< to wade in. Blame them, or blame yourself for not recruiting one, but don’t blame Romney for taking the win when the other side suits up only its third string.

Actually, Romney had been there all along, buying support and waiting for his moment (which had been pre-approved by the GOP E).
I thought the strongest initial contender in terms of ideas and acceptability to the Evangelical wing was Perry, but unfortunately, he had no national experience and what worked in Texas (where most people agreed with him) didn’t work nationally.
Cain was an “accidental candidate” and bombed. People were looking for any alternative to Romney. I think that Cain had never expected his candidacy, which was really all about his book, to be taken so seriously. Initially, I was angry because I thought he had really rooked people by campaigning with something he knew was going to be a problem (and never addressing it) but eventually I decided that he simply didn’t expect to be campaigning seriously in the first place and he had no malicious intent.
Santorum was similar to Romney in everything except his Evangelical appeal (you would never have known he was a Catholic, and in fact, he was not very popular among conservative Catholics). This was apparently something he discovered when he thought it would be helpful to him, but the problem was that it would only attract one voter group in certain locations. However, this group was composed of very dedicated Evanglical voters who would vote for whoever their minister tells them to vote for (remember, a big Evangelical conference endorsed him) and that was what helped him. He dropped out when he got to the more challenging areas.
Ron Paul, like him or not (and I don’t) has stayed in there with his message and this is what is keeping him going. He obviously has a fair amount of money, from somewhere or another, and he has a very devoted group of young voters.
In a lot of ways, however, he’s the one who derailed everything because he took the libertarian, anti-government wing of the GOP (which includes conservative Catholics, who supported him heavily) off into a personality driven backwater. If he had dropped out, I think Gingrich would have emerged as the leader.
Romney and Santorum are two slightly different images on the sides of the same coin, so people can vote for either one of them without breaking a sweat. Gingrich offers a different vision altogether but it’s one that requires that you actually think about it. Ron Paul, because he is so completely negative and off the wall, just offers the cranky old man program, and the secret of his success was that he is a cranky old man and therefore this is totally authentic.
