Was Newt Gingrich’s campaign the worst in history? [joyful-spittle from the Establishment]
The Washington Times ^ | April 22, 2012 | Joseph Curl, covered the White House and politics for a decade for The Washington Times

You know you’re running a lousy presidential campaign when you get bitten by a penguin.

Newt Gingrich, still in the race only because a deep-pocket casino magnate is funding his pathetic run, was campaigning last week for the zoo-animal vote in St. Louis — on a private tour, of course — and got nipped by a Magellanic penguin. Oh, if only he’d taken a jaunt through Big Cat Country or fed the crocodiles in the Herpetarium: Perhaps we’d all be out of our misery now.

The Newt’s presidential campaign has got to be one of the worst ever run in American history (someone should ask the deep-thoughts historian to pontificate on that one). So let’s roll it all up in a ball, shall we, and take a look......

I am amazed that the Washington Times would publish such juvenile scribbling as this.

Imagine this article with Hillary's name - or the name of a former junior US Senator from Illinois. Anyone who wrote either article would be trashed for it. Why is it okay to imply such things about a conservative and not about the protected parasites from the far left in our government?

Correct.

Political lines are blurred — as well as in focus — it’s all about controlling the power base from K-Street to Wall Street, and the GOP base be damned.

When the histrionics get this freaky, you know there is more at stake than just writing a nice column for a newspaper.

Absolutely right. Newt is resurgent. You don't do desperate hit pieces if you think the opponent is no threat. When it looked as if Ron Paul would win Iowa, Romney's media came out with knives. When Cain started to surge, Romney's media quislings and super PAC took him down. They just ignored Santorum - weird. But now with Newt, they know their candidate (neither Mittens or Obammny) stands a chance in debate.

Newt needs to hang tough until the brokered convention. And it will be brokered because the lickspittle liberals in the GOPe won't be able to give Mittens enough delegates to secure the nomination.

Mitt’s camp is sounding uncertain about Tuesday’s vote.

Newt is very intelligent. Hard to figure why he is still in the race. He can not be trusted. He is an internationalist. He is for the U.N. He is very persuasive, an excellent professor. He sounds good. Yet he is closer to the Clintons and their radical friends than he is with any Conservatives. It’s a shame really. It would be good if he really was a conservative and not just a CINO.

He has a place in our government, and hopefully he will have a high office. Just not President or vice President. Ambassador or something in Education. If he sincerely is a Christian, then he is a great one to bring Christianity back into the public domain. We need a strong sincere Christian fighting for our side. I pray he is a man of faith(Christianity).

It must first be demonstrated over a period of time, to be true. MOO
