Our President is out of touch -- the very flaw his sympathizers see in Mitt Romney

“”Governor Romney’s a little out of touch,” Vice President Joe Biden told Face the Nation’s Bob Schieffer in early April.”

The jokes just write themselves these days.

Mitt Romney is too detached from the lives of ordinary Americans to be elected president.

Yeah. Romney's out of touch because he's rich -- so I'm supposed to be upset with how he spends his money and NOT upset at how Obama spends MY MONEY!?!?!?!?!

Amazing -- these democrats. "Hypocrisy" has absolutely no meaning to them.

“It surfaced again last year when he told a woman at a town hall event that he found it “interesting” that her unemployed engineer husband couldn’t find work.”

My favorite was the time he told the guy with the large family that he needed a hybrid van....that couldn’t seat all his kids.

The only problem I have with them portraying Romney as “out of touch” is they have done so with discipline and waited until he is considered the only serious contender.

Other than that Romney is a superficial ass and an opportunistic lout, given to the dual avarices which elevate his stature at LDS and at the same time seeking to at least be a footnote in history.

Just read an email with the best one liner:

“Apparently I’m supposed to be more upset about what Mitt Romney is doing with HIS money than what Barack Obama has done with MINE.”

I think Obama's "bitter clinger" observation in 2008 was his summing-up of the theme of Thomas Frank's book What's the matter with Kansas?. As usual, nothing original, just a spokesman for other people's ideas.

Recently read about Richard Nixon's reaction to Alger Hiss' testimony to HUAC in 1948. Nixon thought that Hiss was "insolent," "condescending," and "insulting in the extreme."

Exactly like Obama. Maybe they have a course at HLS teaching the law students how to behave toward the lesser orders (like lower-middle class types who earned law degrees at Duke). Hiss was also a product of Harvard Law School, and a darling of the liberal establsihment...some of which still defends him.
