Mitt Romney is a Banker… (Mitt and His TARP Buddies)
The Weekly Dissent ^ | Jan 12 | The Weekly Dissent

I am not one to begrudge Mitt Romney for his wealth and how he got it, but I do begrudge him for stipulating and perpetuating a lie that he is not a banker. Mitt Romney is worth a staggering $250 Million and is a banker in every sense of the term. Most of this wealth was earned as the CEO of a Private Equity shop where he and his team flipped companies for profit by making them more lean, i.e. firing people and selling assets. Take a look at the top campaign contributors for Mitt Romney and Ron Paul and you will see who really Mitt Romney will work for if he takes office. ...snip.

“Why practice deceit BrownsFan?

Show us where Jim has said that “the country gets what is derserves, four more years of Obama”.

You, my FRiend, are a liar.”

You are flirting with being banned, if the rules of FR still apply. You have aggressively insulted me for a second time, with no foundation.

The quote you include is mine. But it’s a logic extension of what I was told by JR.
- Don’t vote Romney
- Stay home, or write in, such as Palin.

So, I conclude:
The net result of that is Obama will win. It will serve many functions. It will teach the GOPe a lesson. It will give the country what it seems to want, 4 more years of Obama, to show them what liberalism really is about. A true conservative can then be elected once Obama bungles his way through 4 more years.

I stick to facts. You insult and rage. Are you unstable?

You implied that Jim Robinson stated that, that is a lie.

You know it, I know it, and Jim knows it.

Jim would never say something like that.

You lied, I stated the truth, if you were offended, that is your problem, not mine.

Quit twisting the rules to suit your position.

They ripped apart Perry, they ripped apart Gingrich, they ripped apart Santorum, and now they believe we’re stuck with the GOP-e selection, Mitt Romney.

But there will be other choices.

He's always said to vote "conservative, and preferably TEA PARTY patriot up and down our ballots wherever possible, but conservative for sure."

Ok, so maybe I misunderstood the part about staying home. Sorry.

Perhaps you can advise SoConPubbie about the FR rules for civility?

“Quit twisting the rules to suit your position.”

If there’s one thing I’m known for, it’s being clear. You, however seem to be the one twisting, and altering context. You do come from a liberal area, so perhaps you are more liberal than you understand?

You’re so emotional. I don’t understand your rage toward me. I told you what I said, what I remembered JR saying. I even apologized when onyx corrected me about the “staying home part”.

You are certainly not civil, and not in keeping with the high standards set by FR.

Try to remember that next time when you try to put evil words in somebody else's mouth.

“Try to remember that next time when you try to put evil words in somebody else’s mouth.”

I did no such thing.

You’re so emotional. With your ranting, and the way you play fast and loose with the facts, one might wonder if you’re a closet liberal?

I think we have Jim words straightened out. Everyone here knows, or should know, his positions on Romney, and there will be absolutely no campaigning for him on Free Republic because Romney, like The Marxist, stands for everything that goes against Free Republic’s foundations and principles.

FReepers are some of the smartest people on the whole of the Internet and also prayerful, IMO and experience, so I know that those who decide to vote for Romney, will do so, after a lot of thought and prayer and that’s entirely their business, not mine.

I can’t and won’t vote for Romney and that’s entirely my business, not anyone else’s. I ‘ve said that all along, and way before this primary; dating back to before ‘08’s primary.

He’s ruined this primary for everyone. We deserved a primary of ideas for a better America, solutions for our real problems instead of the vicious attacks Romney launched against his top rivals in his insatiable lust for power. I will never believe that any of the other candidates would have stooped to his level.

If he’s the nominee, I can’t wait to see how he’ll go about attacking the Marxist, when he refused to even call him “a socialist.”

God help us save our Republic! I continue to pray for Divine Intervention and an all-in bloody floor fight at the convention to stop Romney.

GO Newt! Something’s gotta give, I so pray.

Thanks Onyx.

You're right, BTW.

I would like to see Romney take this government; lean it out, and flip it to the next president. Seriously, a little downsizing would be a good thing. A lot of downsizing would be a great thing. That said, I doubt we would get much of that from Romney, but I wouldn’t mind being pleasantly surprised.
