Obama's shocking travel costs reek of reckless spending

Let’s look into abuse, namely the wholesale abuse of taxpayer money. I don’t mean raising taxes. I mean the indiscriminate spending of tax money by government officials.

It’s bad enough that the General Services Administration blew $823,000 in tax dollars on a posh, five-day spending spree in Las Vegas at a "training conference."

No, I’m talking about the recklessness of the president of the United States, as he spends your money on travel for himself and his wife. Here’s a man who is supposed to set a reasonable example, when, in fact, the best word for his behavior is extravagant. Some of his trips are justified state visits and some are boondoggles, but all are turned into photo opportunities on our dime.

Obama’s failed visit to Colombia last week presents the opportunity to investigate presidential trips, and...

The MSM compares "days" of vacations between Obama and Bush. What they fail to mention is that most of Bush's vacations were at his ranch in Texas, and I'm sure cost far less than trips to Spain, renting mansions in Martha's Vineyard, Hawaii, etc.

Just think how much more Romney would spend? A Republican Congress, no real check on him. It would be a mess.

supposed to set a reasonable example,
What leftist/marxist is ever reasonable in anything.

And, I hope the liberal msm gets their butts bitten badly over the way they have treated obama versus Bush. I know that won’t happen but I can dream.

The danger remains Communism.

Photobucket

It was the Communist plan in 1934. It is 0bama’s Communist plan today.

The trips abroad and the vacations get all the press but BO is in constant motion campaigning in the US as well.

Anybody w/ the opportunity should talk w/ people involved in these caravans.

He flies his motorcade ahead of him everywhere w/ a couple of C130s-including 2 of the "monster" or "beast" whatever they call the bullet-proof SUV that's built like a Bradley. There are also limos and other vehicles for the staff.

I've also heard that the super bus thing he had custom made in Canadia follows him everywhere as well.

Each of these stops racks up 100's of thousands of $$. He'll do several a week.

To be fair, a Republican Congress has been the ONLY Congress to attempt to rein in spending over the past few decades.

I seriously doubt Romney would spend a tenth of the amount Obama and his family has spent on extravagant travel.

Say whatever you will about Romney, but to use a football analogy, “act like you been there before”. He and his family have traveled and have experienced the “good life”. Also, being Mormon (say what you will about them) they are a bit more modest than the poor ghetto trash LOTTO winners.

I don’t know a lot about that religion, but I do like that areas dominated by them tend to be modest and well run. I also love that they are the biggest “preppers” in the world. I think they are taught to have 7 years of food storage or something like that and they believe in being well armed.

If Mittens takes some of that prepping and arming views to the Whitehouse, maybe we can improve our national outlook.

Well, of course. When everything is handed to you all of your life you have no way of dealing with anything budgetary never mind responsibility. Mooch is even worse then he is. She had everything handed to her too.

and if I remember correctly - Bush was also working many of these days at the ranch.
Didn’t many people travel with him and conduct normal business in Texas?

Not only isn’t Obama working while traveling...he isn’t even working when he’s in DC.
That’s ok with me....the less he “works” the better it is for all of us.

OMG!!! A total reimbursement of $5,500 for all of his 2011 travel. That’s a total travesty. Once a year I fly first class from Knoxville, TN to Sacramento, CA, stay for about 11 days, rent a compact car, rent a motel room at LaQuinta, and board two large dogs and a cat for a total cost of about $2,500. That’s the total cost of just a little more than two of my rather modest, excepting the first class air travel, trips to CA. The Obamas are liars, thieves, pigs and America haters who love to disrespect Americans and America by deliberaely rubbing our faces in it with their obscene, ostentatious travel, nearly all of it paid for with borrowed money.

Romney has traveled on business before, and his spending could probably be investigated, since his colleagues and his company are still around and there would have been corporate guidelines that he followed. He’ll probably be much the same guy when he travels as President. Probably not cheap, but certainly not like someone who is on a once-in-a-lifetime extravagant vacation.

Obama family spending --the parties, every musical artist he ever liked invited to personally entertain him in our house, at our expense, almost 100 rounds of golf, campaigning nonstop on our expense.

Seems a tactic to put in your face a reminder he is the leader and you (the average person) can not stop him. He is the figurehead of this movement, machine to transform America.

Community Organizers agitate.

The new video, If you wanted America to fail touched on this. Our government leader living like a king, as the rest of the country suffers due to intentional policies.
