We conservatives are very close to having no voice in Romney's campaign. Fortunately Santorum did well enough to be capable of at least attempting to obtain some kind of policy concession from Willards team on our behalf.

It is pathetic that some view that as some sort of betrayal.

People around here accuse me of being naive constantly. If you really think that Santorum will have any success in changing romney's positions OR that Romney will honor any promise he makes to Santorum - or any conservative - IF he's elected, You are MORE naive than I am.

The Ron Paulbots came into our county caucus and literally overwhelmed in numbers. Now there will be a power struggle with the Ron Paulbots come election time amoung the county committee people. What a fricking mess!

It’s gotta make Rick’s skin crawl as much as it does mine.

Either the Republican party will change to a more conservative direction or, IMHO, it’s days are numbered.

Politics is a real ugly business.

As I’ve posted elsewhere, IMHO, whether Mittens wins or loses (however that turns out), he AND the Republican party are going to look very, very bad the next few years in the eyes of anyone who’s tired of the mess we call the Feral government.

Mittens will either be the biggest political loser ever or the man driving when the wheels come off the world economy.

Facepalm.

But on a more positive note, it gives me great confidence that the Republican party will be replaced by a real conservative party.
