This is why on my desktop and laptop computer, I have Norton Internet Security 2012 running, let it automatically update the malware definitions, and run a full system scan every Saturday morning. That way, I don't worry about potential malware attacks since NIS 2012 is extremely aggressive about monitoring all Internet access activity.

I don't worry about potential malware attacks since NIS 2012 is extremely aggressive about monitoring all Internet access activity.

I just cleaned a rootkit and about 100 malicious files off a computer with NIS 2012 this past weekend. They didn't know anything was wrong until the computer started bluescreening on them.
