Tyrrell should read Seymour Hersh's book, The Dark Side of Camelot, on the behavior of some of the Secret Service agents in the Kennedy administration.

P. 244:

"Some of the agents and military aides who traveled with Kennedy, surfeited with available women, soon found themselves doing what the president was doing. Drinking and partying became a constant feature of presidential travel..." Hersh goes on to describe a party at Bing Crosby's estate in Palm Springs in Dec. 1962 as particularly wild.
