Thanks, AZ, for the “white” tribute for our troops.
Did you have an uneventful commute? Minimal obstacles?

A Call To Commitment
April 27, 2012
Many health and fitness centers expect a flood of people to join every January who will come only a few times. They dont mind if people pay the fee and never return. But fitness trainer Jesse Jones takes the opposite approach. If you sign up and dont show up, he will terminate your membership. Jones says, Save your money. Come see me in a few months when youre serious. My passion is not for another three-month payment . . . were making people accountable to reach their goals.
In Luke 9:57-62, we encounter three people who told Jesus they wanted to follow Him, and all received what seem to be harsh replies from the Lord: The Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head (v.58). Let the dead bury their own dead (v.60). No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God (v.62). For each person, Jesus stated the sacrifice and commitment required to become His disciple.
A man I admire as a dedicated and sensitive follower of Christ says that Christians need to be ready for radical commitment and change. The Lord calls us not only to leave the status quo, but also to take that calling seriously by following Him.
Lord, I want to be sold out for You. I want to
love You with my whole heart, soul, mind, and
strength. Give me the power to be who You want me
to be, and to walk in Your ways.
Following Jesus demands our all.

Good evening, Kathy!
*HUGS*
They haven't managed to load any work into the new system, so we've been doing make-work assignments for the last two days on the old system. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.
I was particularly sore today. Woke up several times in the night and could barely move. This morning when I got up I could barely walk
with the walker. Improved slowly during the day, but still painful to move around. The lower back is acting up the last couple days. Still, it's slowly improving overall.

Good evenin’ Kathy...((HUGS))...all is getting better. Still have some discomfort on my right side yet.
Nate is real good at the push ups ans scooting backwards but no actual crawling yet. He gets cereal twice daily and just loves pears.
Daughter is getting better each day.
I hope “Happy Days ahead???” continues and improves.

Thanks very much, Publius! "The Adventures of Robin Hood" is one of my all time faves. As it happens, we never had a color TV when I was growing up - I didn't realize until I was an adult that it was filmed in color. Same story with "The Wizard of Oz."

Now here's a sweet one. When George Gershwin was hired to write the music for "Shall We Dance", Pandro Berman, the producer, told Gershwin he didn't need to bother with the musical numbers that linked the scenes. They would be handed to a lesser composer.
"But I want to write those interludes myself," Gershwin said to Berman. "I don't wanr them handed to a lesser composer."
And so here is a classic Gershwin interlude titled "Walking the Dog" which he uses as a prelude to "Beginner's Luck".
Fred Astaire: "Walking the Dog" and "Beginner's Luck"

That's precious, Publius - we'll never see anything like that again, sadly. Now it's all crudity and raunchiness. I'd rather watch an old movie any day.
