Would PBS, Red Cross, or Salvation Army exist if they drove off their donors?

No, they wouldn’t. They recognize the value of their donors and adjust to meet their donors expectations.

Therefore, there is an explicit recognition by those organizations that they exist at the sufferance of their donors.

The Free Republic could use a little bit of that.

You don't own it. You didn't create it. You have none of the responsibility.

Only one of those is a political activist group, and none of us would voluntarily give PBS a dime.

JR doesn't drive off donors, he has a political agenda that he promotes, and supports his site with like minded people who donate to his cause.
