Tigers outfielder Delmon Young was arrested for hate crime assault in New York City early Friday morning. The Associated Press reports that Young attacked a group of men while yelling anti-Semitic epithets.
From the AP: Police say Young was standing outside of the Hilton New York, not far from Times Square. A group of about four Chicago tourists staying there were approached by a panhandler wearing a yarmulke. As the group walked up to the hotel doors, Young started yelling anti-Semitic epithets. Police say it's not clear who he was yelling at, but he got into a tussle with one of the Chicago group, who sustained scratches to his elbows

I thought that in Holder’s testimony before the Judiciary Committee, he made it clear that blacks could not commit hate crimes because of some contrived historical BS. Does anyone else remember that.
Oh, and also, i think the whole verbal hate crimes business is all BS. As far as I’m concerned, as long as you are not directly threatening another person’s life or limb, you should be able to pretty much say what your darn well please.
Frankly, there are some people I hate, and I should be free to tell them how much and why.

Man...the Tigers season is going south fast...funny how the two teams (Angels are the other) that shelled out staggering amounts of money for players are both tanking right at the moment...
I hope Tiger management has the brains to keep him out of the line-up in New York over the weekend.

Sorry to hear that. The last survivor from the Tigers' historic 119 loss season in 2003, I believe.
