A sane person would have to actually see a contempt citation delivered to believe this!

It will be ROMNEY who gives the marching orders on this. Or not.

We will soon find out what kind of spine ROMNEY has for justice served or for simply toying with it as he panders for votes.

I won’t be holding my breath.

He will need those Lefty votes, since many of the real marines of the Republican base aren’t going to be playing ball this election cycle, by voting for a Republican socialist with a record to prove it.

I saw a report on Fox last night that Issa is planning for Memorial Day as a drop dead date. They could probably do it sooner but they are going to give Dem’s a taste of their own medicine and time this for when it will have the biggest impact on the election. After all turn about is fair play.

Funny thing is as much hubris and narcissism that exists in this administration it’s likely they will do nothing and think that this will take care of itself.

They will never have the balls to follow through on this.

My inner Pollyanna says that maybe this leak from the committee staff is designed to put a little pressure on Boehner.

“in a dispute over access to documents from a flawed gun-tracking operation”

This one phrase contains several out and out lies. Nothing is in dispute. The Obama Administration has lied under oath, suborned perjury, destroyed evidence and refused to provide documents under subpoena. The documents are part of the public record.

This was not a “flawed gun-tracking operation”. This was a deliberate effort by the Obama Administration to provide guns to Mexican drug gangs.

Yakety yak. Dont talk back.
Shut up. Sit down. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Relax.
See?
It’s all over now.
Don’t you feel so much better?
If not, Jack Daniels might help.

... it’s all political theatre. They could and should have issued a subpoena and an indictment a half a year ago. The politicians just want their names in the headlines for acting tough.

Headline grabbing d*ckwads without a single testicle between them.

Wish elected officials would just do the right thing without craving the spotlight.

The punishment would be a lot of severe frowning upon and finger waging!

That is NOT TRUE!!! The Republicans in Congress most certainly do have a testicle between them! The trouble is, its been misplaced somewhere and none of them will admit to having it last.

what is the punishment for contempt of congress?

This is how President Bush handled it:

Bush administration officials unveiled a bold new assertion of executive authority yesterday in the dispute over the firing of nine U.S. attorneys, saying that the Justice Department will never be allowed to pursue contempt charges initiated by Congress against White House officials once the president has invoked executive privilege.

The Charlotte Bobcats have a better chance of winning the NBA Title than the Republicans bringing charges against Holder.

And then if Holder doesn’t do what they want, Boehner will hold his breath until he turns blue, and most of all, it will hurt his feelings and he might cry.
