Chicago Teacher: NRA Wants 'Porch Monkeys' to 'Die'

This is the product of all that 'diversity' programming. I had black teachers during the early days of integrated schools who spoke English very well, and insisted their students (of any color) do so also. Some even seemed to go harder on the blacks who spoke 'gullah' because at the time, only being able to perform up to the highest standards was regarded as the ticket out of poverty.

Since the advent of 'cultural studies' programs, self-esteem crusades, and the like, the bar has been progressively lowered, to the detriment of generations.

I understand those seeking to rediscover cultural roots often fall prey to scams, but so many have been promoted from within the black community, not excluding the 'Kwanza' ceremony, that it is sad.

Instead of Booker T Washington or George W Carver promoting world class people, we end up with Van Jones and Alan Sharpton getting over on their own.
