Sorry, but this has nothing to do with Romney’s religion. If we had a Jewish president the country would not become Jewish. Supposedly all prior Presidents have been Christian of some denomination. Have they all been upstanding followers of Christ? Hmmmm?
And I think everyone kind of thinks it’s nice to have their fellow religionists in the WH. So I understand why Mormons might be tempted to vote Romney. I know that when Lieberman was veep candidate, I allowed myself to fantasize about a Jewish President. (Not him in particular — suicides would go up after each whining speech) I knew that we would have a woman, black, gay, Asian, President before a Jewish one though. We will be last. I didn’t even consider a Mormon President but it figures that EVERYONE will come before the Jewish one...
But if we TRULY believe in the religious freedom our country was founded upon, it should not matter that Romney practices his religion. I know we might have a sore spot that would keep a Muslim out of the White House... But we technically have one in there NOW! Obama IS a Muslim according to Islam, no matter what he professes to be. Muslims know he is Muslim. So there. I’d prefer a Mormon...

Thanks for this post...it is a perfect example of those who know NOTHING about mormonism, or Romney's role in it.
I won't waste bandwidth with examples...but the mormon church has had a goal since the 1830s of domination over the country and then the world. It is a multi-billion-dollar corporation that has a secondary goal, that of continually filling its coffers in order to reach goal #1.
There were plenty of us who warned against Obama and were scoffed at.
Pull that lever for Romney...God bless the country that there are enough of us that will cancel out that vote. I will vote down ticket for conservatives only.
Obama poorly hides his religion...Romney boasts of his because he is counting on the voters who know nothing of it.
