As a long-time FReeper and a monthly contributor I feel compelled to make my first suggestion to improve this site. ;-)
Since the excerpting and even no link rules are so important why can you not have a link or two to the current posting rules ON THE POSTING page?
I have actually made this suggestion before without result. It is again a simple, trivial addition that I think woulod make it easier for all, including the mods.
$20 says you ignore this suggestion too (redeemable during current FReepathon).
Newbies and even old-timers don’t actually post articles that often so if the rules were easily available at Post time I think it could make the mods job easier and avoid posts from sites-that-cannot-be-named. FWIW. ;-)
It’s been on John’s to do list forever. Just always seems to be something of a higher priority above it. Sorry, not ignoring you.
