@CPOSharky, perhaps you should first look up the meaning of "concealed." I did not state a person could not carry a handgun, I stated it cannot be concealed without a permit. A .12 gauge shotgun is not exactly a weapon that you can conceal inside your sweatpants unless you have modified it, now is it. Also, if you are in your car the weapon may not be concealed within your immediate control. See A.R.S. section 13-3102(A)(2). Also, it appears that you express opinions without understanding the subject matter first. I do state why in Cordell's case he was in possession of a "concealed" weapon and discuss the definition that has been applied by the Arizona Court of Appeals at pp. 5-6. Finally, I assure you that nothing that I wrote is "copied." The petition is intended to be read by the district attorney's office. I cite a number of cases that support my argument. I finish law school this semester, I am not a lawyer, and the "leagalese" (sic) is not intended to impress you, rather to persuade the district attorney to uphold his oath of office. Take a look at this from Bill O'Reilly if you get a chance: Why the Media and Politicians fear African-Americans

Arizona does NOT require a permit to carry concealed.

Go look up the definition of a shotgun gauge. A .12 (decimal one two)would by definition would have a bore diameter equivalent to an EIGHT pound lead sphere.
