Now I'm as confused as ever. I thought Mark Felt confessed to being Deep Throat shortly before he died. It made perfect sense-- a spoiled boob who did not get the coveted top job turning on his boss and getting millions of innocent Indochinese killed in the process from the resulting political upheaval.

But, otoh, Felt was such a boob that he may have made a false confession just to get the attention he so craved. I think I need to buy more tinfoil for my hat!

Felt was deep into providing validation for information the Post had acquired through other means. He probably imagined that he was Deep Throat.

Really, wouldn't you think a guy who thought he should become the FBI Director might be a little strange!,P>What we have here is one of the folks who KNEW all the stuff the Post had dug up telling us that Felt didn't corroborate all of it ~ which means the FBI never did find out everything.
