I do too. Like the Windows interface that is.
Really? Wow. I saw the Lumia and wasn’t all that impressed with the interface. It seemed like a fusion between the old KIN and Palm Pre’s interface. I guess if your life revolves around Facebook status updates, it is probably a good phone.
I’ll stick with Android for now.
Bottom line: iPhone beats Lumia 2-1.
It takes 2 iPhones to equal a Lumia or a Droid.
Four phones in his pockets? Steve, please stay close to the towers so your four phones don't have to kick into high power transmission and microwave your manhood.
I don't see any closed system competing with open systems on a regular basis. I have to deal with windows for business reasons but there's no way I'm dealing with windows on a personal phone.
actually it takes 2 iphones to match the lumia 900 :-)
He was probably skiing the day of the interview and needed lots of pocket warmers.
I just got a iphone 4 (not the 4s), after years with a Motorola non-smart phone.
It was mostly a matter of a free phone and a throw-up-the-hands surrender on my part because I didn’t want to fall completely behind the technology curve.
I have Windows on my laptop, etc., and now I am stumbling around with the iphone, which seems fine, if rather an overkill for my needs. But I am hoping you might tell me just what is meant by ‘closed’ system vs. open...sorry for my ignorance, and if it is more than you want to go into, no problem...thanks...
Wozniak was the real guy behind Apple. He was the tech brains, while Jobs dealt with business/corporate end.
As a tech and innovation guy, Jobs was not that shiny. And of course, when it came time for the mac platforms, what they did was more or less copy work by Xerox.
I also saw the lumia and REALLY liked it.
Enough to want to buy it for my carrier but it is not available.
Unfortunatly it seems windows phones are dead until the wp8 comes out. (and they can double their market share up to .00000000000000002% of the market. “ala poor Yorik...”)
Is cost/price the only factor or was there some other reason that you chose iphone 4 over 4s?
I ask because I bought a 4s last night and it should be here tomorrow.
Apple is generally the vendor of least open products. I got rid of an Iphone 4 around last November and purchased a Samsung Galaxy Android phone which I've been much happier with for several reasons, not the least of which is heat, i.e. the Samsung phone doesn't heat up after ten minutes of use.
I like to customize my phone. You can’t do much with an iphone. Jailbreak, then load unauthorized apps and change the font.
On my Samsung Epic 4G, I rooted it and is completely customizable. I was on stock for a while, and then moved through four everyday ROMs. Each ROM made the phone seem like a new phone.
Iphone is for people with little imagination and creativity.
FOUR PHONES???? Really?? I have to carry one and consider it a huge imposittion. I couldn’t imagine carrying around four, what a PITA that would be.
I was in a jam, about to lose all my voicemails and other data because of a Verizon “update” in my state, and they thought they might be able to save everything if I got a new smartphone.
I went with the iphone4 just ‘cause it happened to be almost free the night they had me on the line, which was a couple nights before my data was supposed to vanish (which it did anyway).
My wife had the 4 and now she has the 4s and loved them both, the 4s in particular, so I don’t think you’ll have anything to worry about.
Here’s the deal with iphones vs. other smart phones as it was explained to me: a female cousin of mine was telling me she loved her 4s because it was so “intuitive”.
Her husband immediately jumped in and said, “That’s why I go with the ‘Droid. Women have intuitions, men have APPETITES.”
lol
Answered my question.
Thank you both.
To start with, perhaps but the history of Silicon Valley is littered with the corpses of “tech” brilliant companies that didn’t have the business side.
