ATLANTA —
Police said a man wounded in an officer-involved shooting was walking around a neighborhood with a loaded shotgun during the incident.
The shooting happened at approximately 11:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Paines Avenue near North Avenue in northwest Atlanta.
Relatives of Eric Williams said the incident has left them upset because they do not believe the 18-year-old had a gun.
Channel 2's Ryan Young spoke to Williams' brother, who said he found the teen "laying on the ground stretched out" after running from police following a traffic stop.
Within minutes, Chopper 2 was flying over the scene, where scores of investigators assembled to find out what happened before the officer opened fire.
A preliminary investigation is under way.

And HITH is walking around the ‘hood consistent with running from a traffic stop?
In my suburban area of Atlanta, just the other day,
someone called the cops because a family member was threatening to kill himself.
So the cops showed up and killed him.
They are so helpful in situations like this.
That’s probably what the family wanted. Suicide would have canceled the insurance.
If a guy don’t care about living, he sure don’t care about shooting your ass.
Maybe we really are working up to some sort of race war. The Sharptonites are certainly trying for it, and the Obamunites. We think hey we can take care of ourselves but if it really comes off the feds will side with the urban gangs against the middle class and “unreliable” portions of the military will be sent to some “crisis” point overseas. The arab families will surely do their part, too. And those drones... A lot of political enemies can be picked off with those things if there is some spectacular- at least on TV spectacular- “unrest.”
I would think most Atlanta cops are black by now so odds are this talented yoof was shot by one
