Calm down. I’ve seen very few posters stating that they won’t vote. I’ve seen a number of posters state that they won’t vote for Romney, but that they will vote for conservatives on the ballot.

Spin it any way you want, my friend, we could have won, instead WE handed it to THEM on a SILVER PLATTER.

Really? Some of us haven't even had a chance to vote yet.

Good luck trying to convince many in this audience to vote for Romney.

I'm beginning to think some of this resistance to Romney is more personal than ideological. Romney is without a doubt more conservative and will surround himself with more conservative people than will 0bama. We have a 3+ year record of how negative 0bama is for this country and yet we have supposed conservatives who don't care how much worse it will be if 0 gets another 4 years.

Just imagine the long-term negative impact if 0bama appoints 1, 2, or 3 more leftist Supreme Court justices. Add to that the impact of 30-40 federal judgeships appointments across the nation and even more federal power expansion through the EPA and other entities. We KNOW what 0bama will try to accomplish will be a negative for the country in almost every way. We do NOT know what Romney will be like but we do know it will not be as radically leftist an agenda - hopefully some of Romney's accomplishments will actually be to UN-DO some of 0bama's damage.

The bottom line: we have a choice between
(1) a centrist-right candidate (who we hope will govern more to the right),
(2) a proven ultra-leftist (who will move more left with a 2nd term), and
(3) someone else with zero chance of winning (same result as not voting).

Yeah, that's what I would expect from those supporting a Socialist like Romney.

As to preaching - God apparently decided that I was qualified to do that task, so your opinion means squat.

Especially when I'm on the other side of the planet doing that very thing for people who have never heard of Christ.

O'Connor was the ultimate flip-flopper, but she voted with the conservatives sometimes. It's like the liberal Republicans in Congress who vote with the party 50-60% of the time--if they retire or get defeated, they are replaced by someone who votes right none of the time.

I hadn't heard about George Romney and Saul Alinsky before today. The elder Romney doesn't appear to have been very savvy--he destroyed his own Presidential campaign by saying he had been "brainwashed" on a trip to Vietnam (into believing what the US military told him). The Communists were experts at creating nice-sounding front organizations and suckering in "useful idiots" to work with them. Until I hear more I'm guessing George Romney was a "useful idiot" who heard Alinsky say things on one or two issues that sounded good (about helping poor people or combatting racism) and didn't see behind the facade to realize what Alinsky was really up to.

First, identify the nature of the problems by asking the right questions before attempting to find answers to the wrong questions.

Second, develop a consensus among and beyond the conservatives about the identified problems, so the proposed solutions have greater support among a majority of the voters and non-voters influencing the political affairs.

Third, develop proposed soklutions to rectify the problems before, during, and after the 2012 Elections.

Fourth, entertain consideration of Constitutional solutions to the problems with equanimity no matter how unfeasible some people may think those efforts may become.

As grandmother was wont to remind us, “Can't never did.” Until the Nixon Administration, no President had ever been compelled to resign. The Democrats, including a young Hillary Rodham, employed Alinskyite tactics to do so despite the earlier perception that doing so was impossible to even contemplate.

The Obama Administration is alleged to have committed a wide variety of unconstitutional acts and an even greater number of felonies. If it weren't for the protection of the Democrats in the U.S. Senate and other governmental offices. These illicit acts could make the defendants liable to punishments ranging from lesser felony convictions to as much as the death penalty for murder and treason in the extreme. There is no statute of limitation for murder and treason. For anyone who wants to ridicule the possibility of any extreme punishments, it should be remembered that a number of people have been murdered, including some U.S. Border Patrol officers. Attorney General Eric Holder is already the target of some very serious allegations which could hypothetically connect him and the Obama Administration to criminal conduct the Constitution describes as High Crimes and Misdemeanors.

It should also be noted there are historical U.S. precedents for the removal from office of ineligible governmental chief executive officers, including at least one Governor. One of the consequences of the ineligibility and/or illegal government acts was the making of all such acts, appointments, and executive orders null and void as a matter of law. Whether or not anyone chooses to accept the feasibility of applying such laws, the fact remains the laws have been applied before with the effect of reversing every act performed by the ineligible officer.

There are a number of ways to address the problems, and once everyone is liberated from the compulsion to support Romney, there are likely to be many more proposed and perhaps viable efforts to be proposed by people we've not yet heard from. None of these efforts necessarily prevent us from also preparing to vote in the 2012 Elections. It might even be worthwhile talking about a nationwide revolt to produce a write-in vote or influence the National Republican Convention. The bottomline is that there are a multitude of ways we may be able to compel a change in the rules of this fixed game, but we must first persuade a consensus that it can be done because it must be done.

Why do you still think the elections reflect the will of the people?

Some facts:
Russia funded Obama in 2008.
Wikileaks released emails stating McCain knew of massive vote fraud and did nothing.
Obamas lawyers revealed in a NJ case that his BC is a fraud but said it doesn't matter. The court agreed.

There's more. Much more. Voters were manipulated this primary and the RNC outright lied. Romney was chosen by the elites.

Do you really think that your vote counts?

OK, so if these “other people” can guarantee that neither Romney or Obama will be President in January,2013, I am all ears. I will listen to what they say, and support them. But if they fail, and Obama is re-elected, then the Republic is finished, right? And I didn’t say I insisted on voting for Romney, but you tell me how else to get rid of Obama. He is involved in numerous scandals, that would cause impeachment if they were properly investigated, but that doesn’t seem to be happening, either. An ideal situation would be to let Obama get re-elected and then bring indictments and convictions against him and most of his administration, but no one seems to be interested at this point.
These people who maintain that we don’t have to have either Romney or Obama have until election day, 2012 to give me an alternative. I can’t just stay at home and not vote, and the rest of my family feels that way, too

Give me an alternative to getting rid of Obama. The only way I can see is to vote for his opponent, whoever that will be. If you have another solution, I am listening. Staying home on election day isn’t an option with Obama as our incumbent.I certainly do share your feelings about Romney, but what is the alternative?

You should get more up-to-date polling information. 27% is well well below the current “acceptance” rating for Romney. I’m not paying attention so I don’t know what the latest polls are showing, but I see from other FR posts that he is even with Obama in national polling, which does also suggest that he is drawing a good portion of the republican vote now.

There is no such thing as "guarantees" in this life. Liberty is a risk, but one that it seems too few are willing to risk. So the safe alternative is to vote for the nominee the enemy has chosen.

Should the Continental Congress have said "If we are guaranteed to beat the British in open warfare that this Declaration will no doubt cause, we're willing to vote for it"???

Give me an alternative to getting rid of Obama. The only way I can see is to vote for his opponent, whoever that will be.

Such two-dimensional thinking and short-sightedness. Is the need for instant gratification so seared into our collective consciences that we are unable to recognize we did not get into this MarxoFascist mess overnight, and neither will we get out of it overnight?

Our Founders had the right model for us to follow. They were patient. Endured intolerable acts and punishing deprivations, but sought the right, sure and God-inspired path to standing up against tyranny and beating it. They waited until the enemy made it manifest that the absolute subjection of this people under absolute despotism was the aim, and then they acted, so the cause was Just. They let the enemy make that last mistake, then they had God on their side to defend themselves.

The Crown? Well the Crown was outraged and incredulous a bunch of farmers with pitchforks and aristocrats would dare defy the legal and lawful authority they were supposed to bow down to (and play within the box constructed for them).

It's time to think (and play) outside the box that was made for us to keep the Ruling Class in power. I certainly do share your feelings about Romney, but what is the alternative?

Standing up for and defending your principles.

There's already talk of Romney requiring loyalty oaths of his staff. He's no Lincoln. He's a petty, very vindictive man who takes political affronts personally.

However, he may win in November because the major news media may understand that a Romney victory is actually more damaging to conservatives than an Obama victory. And that's what really scares me.

If that don't scare the Be-Jesus out of ya then nothing will.

It's no more scary than:

Supreme Court unknown liberal Justice Romney Appointee #1
Supreme Court unknown liberal Justice Romney Appointee #2
Supreme Court unknown liberal Justice Romney Appointee #3
Supreme Court unknown liberal Justice Romney Appointee #4

That, frankly, is worse because the GOP will get blamed for losing the Supreme Court for Conservatives.

“But if they fail, and Obama is re-elected, then the Republic is finished, right?” No, the Republic is far from being “finished”, but the toll of damage and the future risks are not to be taken lightly either. The only reason the Obama Administration was able to gain power and remain in power this long is because of very serious damage incurred by the Republic and its Constitution before any of us living today were born. The added damage in the last century has added to the earlier fundamental damages.

For example, the direct election of U.S. Senators has denied the ability of Citizens to remove a U.S. Senator from office by way of representatives in the state government. Once elected or falsely elected, a U.S. Senator has become a power nearly unaccountable to the electorate for six or more years.

The denial of the right of the public grand jury in favor of a political Federal or state prosecutor denied the right of Citizens to enforce the laws of the land when the elected and appointed officers of the government refuse to do so. See misprision of a felony and misprision of treason.

The role of the central bank known as the Federal Reserve has drawn considerable attention to its erosion of property rights and Constitutional government.

The Wilson Administration destroyed many important aspects of the Republic, and while Wilson was rendered incompetent as a medical patient his powers were exercised by his wife and cabinet in secret.

The Franklin D. Roosevelt Administration was only equaled or exceeded by the Obama Administration in its damage to the Republic. Harry Hopkins served as Roosevelt's staffer and Communist liaison to the Soviet Union's Stalin. One of his Vice Presidents was a communist devoted to destroying the freedom of citizens in labor, education, agriculture, and so much more.

The Republic has been damaged for all of these years, yet it still survives intrigue, economic blundering, erosion of freedoms, assasinations, corruption of its courts and Supreme Court decisions. The question now is whether or not the Citizens of the United States can educate themselves to understand the differences between the Republic of the Constitution versus the other forms of government which the enemies of the Republic seek to impose on the Citizens of the United States? As it stands now, few people I speak to seem to even realize the Republic is something entirely apart from the Old World totalitarian forms of government, whether they are monarchical, Communist, Socialist, or fascist. More than anything, our Citizens need to learn more about what Republican forms of government they have lost and may still lose in the future.

To address the problem of political indoctrination by the socialist-communist educational establishment and mass media, one thing which can be done is to host conservative political video festivals. There are a wealth of very informative and inspiring videos to be found on YouTube today. I've often wanted to host a series of programs of these YouTube videos to help bring friends understand more of the history and concepts of the problems we must confront today. It would be much better, however, if lists of these videos were prepared and shared in places such as Freerepublic, and these little video festivals were viewed in thousands of homes and public meeting places over broadband Internet connections at the same time. Topics can range from the origins of the American Revolution and its republican principles to the eligibility issues of the Obama Administration, from the threat of foreign subversion of the republican form of government to defining communism, and the differences between Fascism and theocratic totalitarianism.

As for removing the Obama Administration, that is a topic much larger than what can be covered in a single brief or long post. There are many possible approaches, all of them being problematical, of course. My preferred choice is to enforce the law by whatever Constitutional means is possible before or after the 2012 Election, because it would make it possible to rule the acts, appointments, and executive orders of the Obama Administration null and void. Sotomayor, Kagan, and any further appointees to the Supreme Court of the United States could perhaps be removed as ineligible appointees. Obamacare would be null and void. The Presidential executive orders would be null and void. Speaker of the House Boehner would become President Pro-Tem pending the provision of a new President by the U.S. Congress.

Removal of the Obama Administration may be possible by a number of methods. One thing U.S. Citizens have failed to remember is the way in which the Constitution reserved to the States or the Citizens all powers not enumerated for delegation to the Federal Government. This includes the right of petition and the right to convene parliamentary meetings to deliberate the exercise of direct sovereign authority remaining with the people. This is how constitutional conventions and the basis for the American Revolution. The TEA Party is a bare scratch on the surface of what can be done is and when U.S. Citizens learn how to apply the authority that most people don't even realize they still possess.

There are a lot of people who will scoff at such a suggestion. I have no patience whatsoever for such skepticism. At the end of the Second World War there were many people who proclaimed how they could not understand how the German people could possibly have allowed Hitler and the NAZI regime to come to power and perpetrate the Holocaust upon mankind. Yet here we are now with the Obama Administration usurping the Constitutional government of the United States often with eager support. Also forgotten is how many of these same people finally overthrew the totalitarian and brutal Communist dictatorship of East Germany, despite the fact practically every fourth person in East Germany served as a domestic spy and informer for the deadly STASI secret police. Too many Americans of today are critical of others who faced mortal peril for themselves and their loved ones, yet these Americans cannot even be bothered to educate themselves or lift a finger to defend their family, friends, or fellow citizens. If the Germans can overthrow their brital dictatorship, can U.S. Citizens do any less by simply exercising the powers the Founding Fathers secured for their blessing?

Other actions which can be considered are constitutional conventions, tribunals, changing the laws regarding grand juries, write-in votes, notarized voting methods, and other itmes I don't recall at the moment.

There is more, but I have to get back to work for the present.

You would do better to join with other citizens to enforce the laws which would remove Obama and Biden from office for ineligibility and High crimes and Misdemeanors, or vote in concert with other citizens for the same write-in candidate alternative to oabma and Romney. Better still, prevail upon the Republican Party to find Romney ineligible at the national Convention and replace him with one of the other candidates. You do have alternatives, if the majority will act in concert and in a timely way.
