Hughes found that the evidence weighed in Duncan's favor that she bought the winning ticket, even though lottery records and store security video didn't synch up to the precise timing of the purchase.

Credit card, bank card records? What evidence? She was in the store at roughly the right time?

If Ms. Jones hadn't told anyone that she picked the ticket out of the trash, would Ms. Duncan have been able to make the claim?

Stupid is, as stupid does, She was incapable of keeping her mouth shut. Credit card, bank card records? I think this is a cash only transaction, at least that is the way it’s run in Colorado.

Doesn’t matter if she got it from the trash or found it blowing in the wind, it’s hers. The store brought the suit thinking they could claim it, then the supposed buyer jumped in. Ms Jones and the lawyer will split this 2/3 to 1/3. No one else has a valid claim
