Judge keeps Planned Parenthood out of Women's Health Program

The decision notably affects Planned Parenthood, which sued the state over the matter in April, saying the exclusion violated its constitutional rights.

U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel on Monday granted a preliminary injunction to require the state to keep Planned Parenthood in the program until he makes a decision on the merits of the case.

But Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott's office asked the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for an emergency stay of the injunction, which was granted by Judge Jerry E. Smith.

The attorney general's office pressed the argument that Texas would have to shut down the program if forced to give taxpayer money to “entities that affiliate with abortion-promoting entities” because to do otherwise would violate state law.

The state's exclusion of Planned Parenthood already has prompted the federal government to begin phasing out its funding for the program. Texas officials have said they'll run it with state money alone so they can exclude Planned Parenthood.

The heat is already on the 5th Circuit Judge Smith, who is being cast as anti-woman and a BAD man! No one is paying attention to how many other docs and clinics are already signed up to replace PP.

More at WingRight.com http://wp.me/p1FiCk-Dm and the usual suspects like the Texas Tribune.

Several ways to find a doctor on the Women’s Health Plan: http://wingright.org/2012/03/22/find-a-womens-health-program-doctor-in-texas/ (Yes, blatant blog pimping, here. But of a higher quality.)

Funny, the TT doesn’t take this opportunity to link to its own interactive map http://www.texastribune.org/library/data/texas-womens-health-program-providers/ showing other providers or to link to Obama’s $61 million dollar grant http://www.texastribune.org/texas-health-resources/health-reform-and-texas/records-feds-award-61-million-health-care/ to Texas public health clinics.

Did’ja hear?

There’s an STD epidemic among PP types-—”syphillis of the nose.”

Spreading rapidly among PP staff.

A job-related condition——caught by sniffing other people’s genitals.

ROTFL.

THE PEDOPHILES AMONG US---PLANNED PARENTHOOD IN OUR SCHOOLS This vile organization---Planned Parenthood---- exhibits all the signs of avid organized pedophilia. They are in our schools K-12 sniffing around the genitals of young people.

DO THIS NOW We must demand to know how many of these PP types are connected to pedophilia organizations-——and how many have been convicted of pedophilia.

=============================================

THE PEDOPHILE CREDO Planned Parenthood Federation of America has proclaimed a "right to sexual enjoyment" as a basic human right for all people, including children, and is pushing that goal in every arena, including schools, community groups, and particularly the United Nations.

PP hires children as young as 14 to promote sex to their peers, and one affiliate recently posted a job listing for a state-funded peer educator position that requires that the teens must attend the annual gay pride parade in order to work for PP. (more below)

==============================================

THIS JUST IN PPhood's newsest atrocity is texting children----a sex “educator” employed by Planned Parenthood—the organization that works constantly to drive a wedge between children and their parents---will be texting your children withoutyour knowledge or consent.

When Planned Parenthood of Greater Northern New Jersey held its annual national sex educators’ conference, it promoted a website pushing such resources as “Unequal Partners, Teaching about Power and Consent in Adult-Teen and Other Relationships.” Planned Parenthood is actively involved in trying to push the boundaries that separate and protect children from sexual activity.

While this particular texting program has launched in the Denver area, it may well be a test program with plans for nationwide expansion. Parents must be very vocal in their opposition to Planned Parenthood texting their children. You can monitor your children’s phones for texting by noting the program’s acronym and number. The Planned Parenthood “In Case You’re Curious” contact info is obtained by texting ICYC to 66746.

PLANNED PARENTHOOD SEXUALIZING CHILDREN-—---FODDER FOR PEDOPHILES

(CNSNews.com) – By the time they leave elementary school, children should be able to “define sexual orientation,” and by the eighth grade be able to “define emergency contraception and its use,” according to a report containing controversial new recommendations for sex education in U.S. public schools.

“Ideally, comprehensive sexuality education should start in kindergarten and continue through 12th grade,” says the “National Sexuality Education Standards” report, drawn up by a range of advocates, academics and public education officials.

The Future of Sex Education (FoSE), an initiative started by sex education advocates, developed the standards “to create a strategic plan for sexuality education policy and implementation.”

Also involved are the American School Health Association, the National Education Association Health Information Network – the non-profit arm of the nation’s largest teacher’s union, the NEA – the American Association for Health Education and the Society of State Leaders of Health and Physical Education.

An advisory committee includes senior officials from Planned Parenthood and the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN).

----------------------------------------------------------

The 45-page report determines “age-appropriate” guidelines for comprehensive sexuality education in the areas of anatomy, "identity," pregnancy, sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs) and others. “Specifically, the National Sexuality Education Standards were developed to address the inconsistent implementation of sexuality education nationwide and the limited time allocated to teaching the topic,” reads the report.

The authors argue too little time is devoted to instruction in HIV, pregnancy and STD prevention – a median total of 3.1 hours in elementary school, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In its rationale for sex education in public schools, the report says there is “a pressing need to address harassment,

bullying and relationship violence in our schools, which have a significant impact on a student’s emotional and physical well-being as well as on academic success.”

Standards to be introduced in kindergarten and be met by the second grade include: “Identify different kinds of family structures” and “Demonstrate ways to show respect for different types of families.”

Recommendations for students by the time they reach age seven include that they [u]se proper names for body parts, including male and female anatomy” and “[p]rovide examples of how friends, family, media, society and culture influence ways in which boys and girls think they should act.”

Starting in the third grade, and upon completion of the fifth – when most children are 10 years old – students should be able to “[d]efine sexual orientation as the romantic attraction of an individual to someone of the same gender or a different gender” and “[i]dentify parents or other trusted adults of whom students can ask questions about sexual orientation.”

By completion of the eighth grade, the report says, students should be able to “[d]ifferentiate between gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation,” “[e]xplain the range of gender roles,” and “[d]efine emergency contraception and its use.”

Upon completion of middle school, students should be able to “[a]nalyze external influences that have an impact on one’s attitudes about gender, sexual orientation and gender identity”;

<><>“[a]ccess accurate information about gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation”;

<><> “[c]ommunicate respectfully with and about people of all gender identities, gender expressions and sexual orientations”;

<><>“[e]xplain the health benefits, risks and effectiveness rates of various methods of contraception, including abstinence and condoms”; and,

<><> “[d]escribe the steps to using a condom correctly.”

And by the time they graduate from high school students should be expected to “[d]efine emergency contraception and describe its mechanism of action” and “[a]ssess the skills and resources needed to become a parent.”

------------------------------------------------------------

Included in the guidelines are the following: “Compare and contrast the advantages and disadvantages of abstinence and other contraceptive methods, including condoms”; “Access medically-accurate information and resources about emergency contraception”;

“Compare and contrast the laws relating to pregnancy, adoption, abortion and parenting”; and “Describe potential impacts of power differences (e.g., age, status or position) within sexual relationships.”

The report includes a glossary that defines gender expression, gender identity, gender roles, and transgenderism. “National Resources” for teachers, listed in the report, include GLSEN and Planned Parenthood Advocates for Youth, an organization that supports federal legislation for comprehensive sex education policy.

While the standards include references to abstinence, the FoSE advocates against abstinence-only programs. “Today, as the pendulum swings away from abstinence-only-until-marriage programs, advocates for comprehensive sex education are challenged to remain vigilant on the policy front, making certain that we maintain gains against this failed effort,” FoSE says on its Web site.

Don’t know about other posters, but any rant longer than 6 paragraphs are a dead give away the poster has some side issue axe to grind and sees us as a trapped audience.

I learned a long time ago that it just didn’t seem right to kill an unborn child just because it was the result of a choice —— irresponsibility, not wanting to be accountable for your actions...Sure, it takes two to Tango, and ALL the choices that are made before that life is created (by those choices / see how I blend the terminology to their rhetoric), I never seen till recently (last 15-20 years) that anyone was fighting for the unborn child...

So the government decided to use my (and your) taxes to fund the killing of these unborn children...

That rubs a lot of us wrong...So if a government entity chooses to defund the activity...Maybe that is what it will take to get folks to think before they “choose”...Because the rest of us are tired of picking up the trash left by folks who consider a life created as something to throw away...

Not that I have ever had it in for women...They are the vessel for this life, but I hold just as critical in this process the little men, and boys who can’t seem to exercise a little self control...

My opinion on this issue is not based upon a moral/theological stance against the practice, but more from a respect for life in general, and respect for the opposite sex when it comes to these desires and temptations to “get a little something” just because it feels good...

I think its great we are taking the funding out of this activity...

The real trick is to stay on top and make sure there is compliance to the law now...

There are too many people who consider abortion to be contraception, after the fact...That needs to stop...
