We all remember what the economy was like in 2008.
Everyone in Washington was talking about the state of Wall Street -- the future of the big banks and financial institutions. But real people, families, seniors, were getting hurt -- watching their savings disappear, the security of retirement gone, the value of their home flipped on its head.
It was Elizabeth's idea for a new consumer protection agency to hold the big banks accountable and give working families a strong voice in Washington. And it was Elizabeth who worked with President Obama to make that agency a reality.
Watch our brand-new TV ad -- in President Obama's own words -- about Elizabeth's work for the middle class.
Elizabeth may be a first-time candidate, but this isn't the first campaign she's run. Her first campaign with President Obama for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is already helping people across the Commonwealth and around the country.
That's why President Obama's spokesperson said earlier this month:
"President Obama believes Elizabeth Warren not only has the courage and commitment to do what's right for middle class families, but has the consistent record to back it up. The president firmly supports her in the Massachusetts Senate race."
Elizabeth has proven that she can work with the President to fight for middle class families. Now we need voters across Massachusetts to hear that story.
Watch our new TV ad, then chip in $5 to help share this message with people across the Commonwealth.
Thank you,
Mindy Myers, Campaign Manager, Elizabeth for MA
He wishes she could be a man, so the two of them could frolic in a bathhouse.
That is prime Chump Line material.
Warren’s biggest problem is that she sounds like an Okie. Not appreciated amongst Bay Staters who likely view her as an outsider and a carpetbagger.
Her biggest strength, sadly, is that her over-the-top anti-banker rhetoric is perfectly tailored for these times in a Liberal Democrat state. Mass is just full of voters who are ready and eager to eat that up.
Up against a vanilla RINO squish like Scott Brown I am betting she pulls out a win.
She could always say she is. After all, 50% of her DNA came from men. Lots of she-RATs think they are men.
