I hope you are right. Here’s a scenario.
Maybe Romney can become Obama’s VP and the Defenders of Romneycare can join with the Defenders of Obamacare to make a Liberal, socialist Voltron of sorts. Then all the Romneybots could permanently relocate to DU.
At that point, we could nominate a conservative...or at least someone who doesn’t still actively advocate for govt. mandates and socialized healthcare. That would be a nice start.
I voted for Santorum in the primary, but I hate Obama more than I hate Romney, and you clearly hate Romney more than you care about the country.
Next week I'll be attending a Josh Mandel function to get a principled conservative (like myself......not you) to replace Marxist Sherrod Brown.
Obviously Marxists don't bother you, so I assume you'll be supporting them across the country. Go Obama! Go Sherrod! Right??

I understand your position Jim, but please understand mine. I'm a small businessman, and I do not know if I can survive economically another four years under Obama. I have a family that depends on me, or I wouldn't care so much. Beyond that, so much of our American way of life is under attack by him, from our Christianity to our form of government. Look at what he has done to Israel and all the rest of our allies. Lives are at stake here. Four more years will be a nightmare. I have to make my vote against him count.
Mitt is not a conservative by any means, and I know he's done things you absolutely can't countenance. But with that said, Obama is the greater evil on every one of those things.
At least we've got a chance with Romney.
This isn't an attack, and its not pushing Romney...we're just stuck between a rock and a hard spot. I understand you and the others not voting for him, but the rancor directed at the ones that will is killing Free Republic, and its chance to advance conservative principles.
