Skip to comments.Warren: I used minority listing to share heritage (lie coming unraveled)

...Warrens statements come as genealogists at the New England Historic Genealogical Society were unable to back up earlier accounts that her great great great grandmother is Cherokee. While Warrens great great great grandmother, named O.C. Sarah Smith, is listed on a electronic transcript of a 1894 marriage application as Cherokee, the genealogists are unable to find the actual record or a photograhic copy of it, Society spokesman Tom Champoux said. A copy of the marriage license itself has been located, but unlike the application, it does not list Smiths ethnicity...
Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren, fending off questions about whether she used her Native American heritage to advance her career, said today she enrolled herself as a minority in law school directories for nearly a decade because she hoped to meet other people with tribal roots.
I listed myself in the directory in the hopes that it might mean that I would be invited to a luncheon, a group something that might happen with people who are like I am. Nothing like that ever happened, that was clearly not the use for it and so I stopped checking it off, said Warren.
The Harvard Law professor argued she didnt use her minority status to get her teaching jobs, and slammed her Republican rival U.S. Sen.Scott Brown for suggesting otherwise.
The only one as I understand it whos raising any question about whether or not I was qualified for my job is Scott Brown and I think I am qualified and frankly Im a little shocked to hear anybody raise a question about whether or not Im qualified to hold a job teaching, she said, pushing to put Brown on defense. What does he think it takes for a woman to be qualified?
Warren is looking to shake off the story of her Native American background, which has hounded her since the Herald first reported that Harvard Law School has touted Warren as a minority hire. She also listed herself as a minority in a law school directory for nine years between 1986 and 1995.
Being Native American has been part of my story I guess since the day I was born, said Warren, who never mentioned her Native American heritage on the campaign trail even as she detailed much of her personal history to voters in speeches, statements and a video. These are my family stories, I have lived in a family that has talked about Native American and talked about tribes since I was a little girl.

That sounds vaguely familiar, for some reason...
Rush just played Granny Warren’s whiny statement about how she was using this Indian ploy to meet friends. Wow - as one person posted on the Boston Herald website, times are bleak for Pinochiohantus!
“The Harvard Law professor”
That explains a lot...
Warren: My Grandfather Had High Cheekbones ‘Like All the Indians Do’
Speaking to a reporter on a local news station in Boston, Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts cited her ancestor’s “high cheekbones” (quoting an aunt) as evidence of her Native American heritage:
...if Warren was a conservative....
So the RATS tell us Warren is Native American but George Zimmerman is White? Only in the liberal cesspool that is the Lamestream Media.
In other words, the application is "Fake But Accurate".
And like all good democrats, a brazen and compulsive liar. How many different stories has she told about this at this point?!
Astounding that this election is even close. An indictment of MA and the ignorance of the general voting public.
Last night on O’Reilly, Dennis Miller here called her: “Chief Spreading Bull”.
Nice attempt at misdirection, Liz. Amazing how quickly and consistently liberals do this (suggest that sexism, racism, etc. are the reason for someone's criticism of them, rather than the facts).
What does that mean? She didn't manufacture the claim all by herself?
Prediction: In the next 2 weeks some Indian tribe will step forward to claim her as her own, and will produce reams of authentic looking documents to back up their claim.
They will then enjoy an influx of Federal largesse to their reservation not seen in a century, thanks to the Democrat Party.
Elizabeth Warren - A composite Indian
anyone else remember that democrat from the NorthEast that said he was a war hero or something?
He was running against that “not a witch” woman, I recall.
How can we know about this womans application to college but can’t see Obama’s?
I call her "Walking Eagle".
Too full of it to fly.
“people like me”?
You mean Americans with family lore that there is some Native American ancestry somewhere way back?
We call those “White people”.
That is hardly a “unique perspective” that racial diversity is supposedly providing.
I understand that anyone who can prove them self 1/32nd Indian in one of the New England tribes will receive $50,000.
If a liberal Republican like Scott Brown had dared to try a stunt like this, the LSM would be cruxifying him.
Why is it, the people whom we are told to grant indulgence to are invariably raving, hair on fire, liberals? Like Clinton and his perjury, interns, whatever. Clinton actually told a group of Cherokees once, that he was 1/16 Cherokee, making him twice the imaginary Indian Liz ever was or imagined himself to be. Given Clinton's implausible paternity, at least half his heritage is up for grabs. The man named on his birth certificate was a GI who died in Italy, to whom Miss Kelley claimed she had been married, though Miss Kelley never filed for any government survivors benefits for herself or the little bastard.
I saw another one I liked, “Faux-cahontas.”
-—. A copy of the marriage license itself has been located, but unlike the application, it does not list Smiths ethnicity.——
Pale Squaw, Speak Forked Tongue.
a.k.a. Princess Walking Pigeon
Too full of $h!+ to fly!
3% Cherokee. 100% Idiot.
For those of you wondering how she cashed in on this, over the years that she claimed to be an Indian, she moved from teaching at a mediocre college to eventually teaching at Harvard Law. Shortly thereafter, she dropped the charade.
So she’s a cheater.
On top of that, she’s an insufferable scold. She’s every man’s worst marital nightmare.

As I said, that's not definitive by any means.
If you fill out an application for a business license, there will be information on it that doesn't appear on the business license. Same for a building permit.
I'm not supporting Warren in any way; I'm just noting that there's a difference between the content of an application and the license.
It’s called “hypocrisy”.
Bump for later -— FRegards
Many folks have misrepresented themselves as mixed race, Indian, Aleutian, pacific Islander etc. for the sole purpose of getting various types of funding. One case I know of a person had a Japanese sounding name and was a Finlander. He received some serious funding because he x’d the right box.
Some applications now require picture ID copy. Not that this would have stopped this hamhock from claiming to be native American.
It's good to see that some Republican opposition teams are finally showing a little backbone in calling libs out on their lies. Perhaps our community organizer-in-chief won't be far behind.
Rush was a hoot today. “Half Breed” as Lizzie’s theme! Don’t you know the left-tards panties are in a bunch right about now.
Mam-maw and Pap-Paw!...Lizzie-puh-lease.
Read Mark Steyn about this. Funniest he’s ever been!
I saw her referred to as “Lieawatha” in a Boston paper........
