Pelosi calls on Obama to respect states’ rights, end medical marijuana raids

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi wants President Barack Obama to lay off the weed.
Reacting to an ongoing crackdown on medical marijuana facilities in California, Pelosi said in a Wednesday statement, “I have strong concerns about the recent actions by the federal government that threaten the safe access of medicinal marijuana to alleviate the suffering of patients in California.”
The California Democrat said that medical marijuana is “both a medical and a states’ rights issue.”
California legalized the use of medical marijuana in a 1996 initiative vote. It’s comically easy for many residents to acquire the necessary medical diagnosis to legally purchase the drug.
In 2009, Attorney General Eric Holder announced that the Obama administration would “effectively end the Bush administration’s frequent raids on distributors of medical marijuana.”

We have 5-7 medical marijuana stores on one street. All of them have doctors onsite. They will prescribe for any ailment of pain.

they should de regulate all prescription drugs and let people have what they want. the illuminate want to kill off 75% of the population is what I keep reading on numerous sites, so why not let people take what they want anyhow?
I agree. On Venice Beach, they have tables set up outside these “dispensaries” with a nurse or doctor, who will listen to your complaint, then prescribe medical marijuana and give you a card, then you walk inside and buy dope, “legally”.
I was tempted to sign up, saying that I had too much ambition and did not cough enough, to see if that qualified. But I suspect I’d never get another Federal contract again. Cough
I don’t believe the law stops anybody from getting dope and if they legalized it, I don’t believe that many more folks would become dopers.
How many States are suing the gov’t over Pelosi’s all time favorite, Obamacare?
No such thing as “medical” pot, especially in lala land where your kid can get a “prescription” for toe jam.

Nazi is all for states rights as long as its CA and its drug rights.
Nowadays, you can get a Medical Marijuana Card if you have Hay Fever. It was just a scam to get Marijuana Legalized.
The ironic part of this story is that I am the only person at work without one of those Cards, while I am the only person at work that has been through Chemotherapy, twice.
