Police have arrested a 16-year-old in connection with a mob attack by large numbers of black teenagers against a young white couple in a car, a case which has sparked national outrage.
As WND reported in a story posted on the popular Drudge Report, the couple was pummeled April 14 by dozens of black teens, and the Virginian-Pilot newspaper did not report the incident for two weeks, despite the fact the victims, Dave Forster and Marjon Rostami, are both news reporters for the paper.
Police arrested the suspect this morning, but authorities will not release his name due to his age.
According to the Virginian-Pilot, he has been charged with throwing a missile at a vehicle, a felony, as well as two counts of simple assault by mob, destruction of property and participation in a riot, all misdemeanors.
The attack was first reported in an opinion piece by columnist Michelle Washington.
“Wave after wave of young men surged forward to take turns punching and kicking their victim,” Washington wrote, describing the onslaught that began when Dave Forster and Marjon Rostami stopped at a traffic light while driving home from a show on a Saturday night. A crowd of at least 100 black young people was on the sidewalk at the time.

Let me guess—it was a 16 yr old that got pinched because the plan is to seal his records on account of him being a minor and his parent saying he was turning his life around.
The first mistake the white couple made was to stop at the light. Then when the rock hit they should have just driven off - even if they had to run over a few of the mob.
When I was a kid (late 60’s) in the town where I lived were a couple blocks where there were stop lights. Every night the locals gathered on the corners and porches and yelled, threw rocks, tried to pick fights with any white people who stopped at the light. Then when the light turned green a few in the middle of the block would slowly walk across the street. The unsuspecting would stop and get their windows broken. The white locals (kids mostly) would just punch the gas and take off - making the strollers run out of the street.
A few got hit, and some tickets were issued, but the only people who actually got beat up or had damage to their cars were those who trusted that nobody would “do those things”.
The reporters should have driven off after the first rock was thrown. Sometimes being street smart is WAY better than being book smart or being offended that someone threw a rock at your car.
Yeah, it was a really stupid move on the guy’s part. His action should have been to part the crowd with his right foot on the accelerator.
Liberal blissninnyism on display. Not that this excuses the thugs. But it is a self-perpetuating thing, as similar blissninnies are the ones who aren’t well-reporting events like this, so people don’t know what is really going on, and there is no informed societal dialog about the problem.

The Pilot doesn’t publish stories about simple assaults. Right, a mob of 100 racist blacks pounding on 2 crackers qualifies as a simple assault as if some guy called another guys girl a whore and he decked him.

O’Reilly is the only place in the major audience media where this has surfaced. Like O’Reilly or not, he has been up front and is raising hell about this incident...maybe you should watch now and then and you might actually learn something.
I don’t think anything specific to the Martin is dead line - the racist Smiley was giving a litany of supposed reasons why the Martin case was different than and of course more serious than the case of the two whites beaten by the bunch of black thugs (naturally accompanied by a lot of obligatory but superficial blather about how terrible it was that the whites were beaten) - O’Reilly was making the case that the assault on whites is just as serious and outrageous as the Martin incident - I didn’t stay around long enough myself to get much more than that out of it.....

I got what you seemed to have gleaned from the interview.
i live just a few miles from Sanford and for the most part the community is not up in arms except when the Reverends come to town. We did have a beating/carjacking of a man by two AAs wielding a hammer. He went to ICU and nothing been published since.
I live in a large apartment complex with a wide variety of ethnicities represented. Day to day we all seemed to get along and socialize as before the incident.
We had the Casey Anthony debacle and soon the FAMU show will be played, again, in Orange County. Maybe we are being desensitized.
