The harvest is over where I'm at.
There is no victory on the war on terror.
Just like there is no victory over crime. It's an ongoing war.
The monies acquired from poppies will be spent on death, however, we are rather good at finding the cache's of death.
Side note: Not as many of the locals are that thrilled with the Taliban, which is why they need death squads to coerce some level of cooperation from the local population. Percentage wise only a few are dirtbags.

It can be so simple as the wrong sequence in emplacing the IED such as having the pressure plate attached and armed while putting it in the hole.
Removing the batteries from the IED during harvest or holy days, and reinstalling after.
