Former GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum has made an endorsement - but it's not the one Mitt Romney may be waiting for. The former senator from Pennsylvania tweeted his support Friday for State Treasurer Richard Mourdock, who is challenging the seat's long-time holder, Sen. Dick Lugar.

It certainly beats supporting Specter, and it will help smarmy up the conservatives in the event he wriggles himself a spot on the ticket and bound to do his duty to attract them. The top of the ticket certainly repels.
I dunno, Romney wants what Romney wants, and it really probably is not Santorum, but Daniels or Christy, who have actually done something.

The laws of cause & effect still apply.
Dick the Lugar will lose his primary and then run for the Senate as an independent.
Power is more important than principle.
And Lugar has many staff that need to keep those government checks coming in.
