Human choices drive climate changes

FARMINGTON -- Maine is going to look a lot different in 100 years if climate change trends continue on the same upward trajectory.

Moose may all but disappear from the forests, replaced by migrations of white-tail deer.

The forests themselves will probably be taken over by trees found today as far south as Maryland, rather than the red spruce that make Maine's woods unique.

Even black-capped chickadees, the state bird, may start to head farther north for cooler climes.

These are just a few of the potential changes in store for Maine according to many scientists, who have been predicting what will happen in various parts of the world over the next century if global warming doesn't slow down.

The drastic differences in global warming's effects will ultimately hinge on human's choices to reduce their impact on the otherwise natural climate change cycles, Barton told the audience.

"We still have choices to make," he said.

1. Maine has more citizens on the dole than on private-sector payrolls.

2. Maine is so eco-friendly that billboards are illegal. When you drive up the interstate through Bangor you would be hard pressed to find billboards advertising food or lodging. It’s all a secret in Maine.

3. Maine has ‘Vacationland’ on license plates. But Mainers do not want any outsiders coming up there on vacation. They just want outsiders to send their tax money through Obama’s administration to keep their welfare checks funded.

4. The professor is worried about the trees? Trees are a cash crop. How ignorant is this professor? Why doesn’t he
go to the midwest and give speeches to save the corn?

The warmists like to bring up the situation of the polar bear as being perilous due to AGW. What many people don’t know is that polar bears were originally brown bears who migrated northwards and adapted to life in the Arctic. What does that mean? It means that even if the the planet and the Arctic get warmer, the polar bear can adapt to the situation same as his ancestors adapted to colder weather.

My time machine works. I managed to go forward to January 2nd, 2098 and back. I managed to take a picture of my great grandson driving across Maine.

When is somebody going to ask a “climate change” person a simple question:

Why doesn’t somebody stop the tornados ..?? If people are causing the weather changes .. then we should be able to find out who those people are, why they’re causing all the wind and just make them stop it, right ..??

But .. if “people” can’t stop the weather (tornados), where is the logic that “people” caused it ..??

Be sure you’re seated before they answer!

Was it P. T. Barnum who famously said, “There’s a David F. Robinson born every minute”?

“Moose may all but disappear from the forests, replaced by migrations of white-tail deer.”

Then riddle me this. Why are moose moving south into Colorado over the past 20 years as the climate warms? And, they have driven white tail deer out.

It was a “progressive” modest proposal. ;-)
